I finally got life to slow down a bit and managed to get the Crusader box, at least, open tonite.

I thought I had commented on everybody's builds after I updated everything. So my apologies that I'm late, but Brandon that is a bee-you-tea-full corsair! Rob, I'm looking forward to what you do with the crusader, I have confidence it'll be another spectacular build.

Can't go wrong with the Eduard color photo-etch stuff, Rob! I use that stuff every chance I get. Beats painting the cockpit, especially with my eyes!!

By no means is she done but this is where I am at.  I still have allot of small parts and bombs to put on.  It will be a couple of weeks before I put out the final.

Josiah, I am gonna change out my entry for this GB. Since the LVTP-5 that I am doing is being built for my neighbor as the one that he drove in Vietnam, and I will be adding some scratch interior work I do not want to be constrained by a time deadline on that.

So instead I am gonna switch to this puppy, an old Harrier kit that I have had in my stash for ages (I actually got it for Christmas in 1982 and have never yet built it)

and will be using these new decals that I just picked up off of eBay

let me get a few more nearly completed builds done then I will be all over this puppy...

Carlos, I'll update your build when I get some time. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Those are some nice color schemes and I know it'll look great by the time you get finished.

After a delay on other projects, I'm back on the Crusader and will get posting progress soon.

Great to hear Rob! I plan on starting the M60 soon...I find out if I graduate on monday, but I really love spending summer outdoors so I don't know. Either way, I'll be around more often, with or without the building part.

I’m coming up on having some model time as well.  Couple papers due and then a short summer class.  Although I’m willing to bet it will be ridiculously intense to make up for its brevity.

Once that’s all done I’ll be able to churn out a couple kits and my Quonset hut is at the top of the list.

Work on the Harrier is progressing slowly.  Work has been  a killer to any build time.  I'v got a primer coat on and have worked on filling seams and spots here and there.  Hopefully I can spray some color this weekend.

Ejection seat done with Eduard AM kit...nice seatbelts and ejection handles...makes a big difference to a  plain seat!

Got some progress tonight. Spend a bunch of time sealing the midline seam and needed to use some filler. I got 'er sealed and polished and confirmed with a silver Sharpie...she's not bad. The main wing assembled and dry fit. It will go in actually last as it will be posed in the 'open' position (air braked).

The best feature, thus far, is the busy'ness of the cockpit. The PE siderails really pop and I'm quite pleased how it all worked out. I just need to seal the pit soon to protect it. The ejection seat handles are bloody delicate and will require a bit of planning to protect.

I'm wrapping up on an A-7 for the Viet Nam GB and should be finish with that by Weds then I can get back to the Revell A-6 for this build.

As everybody else said Rob, great looking pit, and the rest of the bird is shaping up nicely too
