Flight is a go, the rocket will just be a little slow to achieve escape velocity. I'm planning on starting the Sat V on the 4th.

Hypertex>  You should post pictures of your WIP in this thread once you start.  A description of the build process is nice, and any problems and solutions in putting the model together.  You can also ask for advice or help if you run into problems (thus the advantage of a "group" build).  Yes, that is standard procedure for Group Builds. 

You should browse through some of the other Group Build threads to see what others post about their projects.  Some participants are very detailed, others just show the basics.  It's up to you.

You may also post a WIP thread in the other forum categories (in this case, "Space") since some do not read the Group Build threads.

WHOA!!! I traded it for a Revell 1/32nd chopper I really didn't want to a guy who didn't want the Buran at our club Christmas party two years ago. I didn't know it was worth anything!!!!

Guess I'll go ahead and build it though, it's kinda beat up and probably not worth that much. I'll have to check Ebay over the next week or so and see if they one you found sells for that much.

Gee friggin' whiz there's two on Ebay for about that price. I wouldn't give but maybe twenty bucks for the model on a good day. Dang, I'm going to see if these sell at that price. If so I might just unload this and grab something else!

Gamera>  I wouldn't blame you!  At the prices some of these models are going, selling them might be more rewarding than building them!  If you can sell it for that much and get something much cheaper, that's the way to go!  That said, I posted pictures of my old pieces on the 1st page, and I doubt I would get much for them.  So it's easier to "rebuild" them than sell.

It's now 2 hours till launch.  Weather is nominal.  All systems report nominal.  Crew is in the gantry and boarding the craft.  Flight Director should give us a go.
