Dave, I have my eye on Tamiya's 1/35 Walker Bulldog.  Was thinking I would take a trip to the darkside for this oneEvil [}:)]

If this does kick off, I will do a Hobbycraft 1/48 P-26.

Hey guys...sorry I haven't been giving this the attention I needed..by your response, the gb could work..I would love to be a part of it but I'm trying to wrap up a couple other builds now.  If anything, maybe I'll host it and just watch from the sidelines if that's ok with you...

Mark,

It seems this still has quite a bit of interest, and I would be willing to participate in it.

Mark, totally understand as we all have other committments that sometmes take precedence.

First off we need to change the title of the thread to fit the name of the GB.  Then, we need to list those who have already indicated their interest and what they plan to build. Then we need to set a date.

For a time date, I was hoping for something in mid November to very early December. For the record I'm planning to do a 1/72 Academy Me 163B.

If you want Mark, I'd be willing to start a new thread to get this one going but I don't want to hijack your idea.  Perhaps I could do this one and you could plan another one for early next year?  Just a suggestion.

Like I said, I'm not trying to hijack the GB.  I just want to help out if needed.  Hope it didn't come out the wrong way!!!

Thanks Mark but before I start a new thread I would like to get everyones input on a possible date.  Like I mentioned before, I was thinking between Mid November (give everyone time to get their stuff) and early December (before things get crazy for the holidays).  If this doesn't work for the majority then we should leave it till next year and let Mark organize it.  Even if we do have one this year Mark, I hope you will still organize one for early next year.  Propeller [8-]

Mid-November sounds good to me, as the weekends get hectic in the retail business this time of year.  COuld probably still do beginning of December, depending on the weekend. Thumbs Up [tup]

Mid November and on sounds fine to me as well.  I have a little 1/72 Dragon M2 Bradley I'd be in for...or the new 1/35 Dragon 250/1 that I just picked up... or... well I got a few I could do with a good weekend...

Eh, the more I think about it, I'm inclined to NOT do that 250/1 in a weekend... I just remembered the indy tracks are three parts per track.  I do have the Tamiya 1/48 StuG III or the 1/48 M10 that would be nice for a weekender, no?

I'm thinking about possibly a 1/72 Hasegawa Zero, 1/72 Tamiya Spitfire, or maybe even a 1/48 Tamiya Tiger 1.  Yep, you read that right...Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Okay, sounds like there is enough interest in doing one late November early December.  Let's shoot for the weekend of Nov. 29th and 30th as a nice compromise between those that want to start now and those that want to wait till December.  I'll start a new thread "Weekend Madness GB" in the GB forum.  See you all there. Perfect for those of us in the US who have the previous day (or two) off for Thanksgiving.  That way we can lock ourselves away for the weekend without major repercussions from COMNAVWIFE.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm in on this one.

Smeagol, sorry to hear that.  If enough other people cannot do it that weekend we'll put the date back up for discussion.  In the meantime perhaps you can plan for a compromise with a simpler model that will still allow you to get some study time in?
