This morning I rescribed the lost detail. Weather is not co-operating for painting this weekend.... too windy, cold, and rainy to use my painting area in the garage.

Nice looking hand painted dials and switches, Glamdring!Thumbs Up [tup] Looks like your off to a great start on your build(despite the fact you say you haven't built an aircraft in four yearsWink [;)]), so I hope to see more updates real soon!

I started work on my Corsair last week, but was wrapped up with a weekend build so haven't had time to post.  I wanted to get an AM cockpit set to dress it up, but I decided to just go out of the box.  I haven't built a plane in almost 4 years, so this should be interesting.

This will be my primary project for a while:

The bits have been installed and the fuselage glued together.  A minor seem is there that I need to deal with somehow.

I finished cleaning up the wing attachment seams this evening... there was something of a step at the rear lower fuselage portion. During the week I will rescribe the lost detail and then she will almost be ready for basic painting...

The DUKW has waddled off the workbench for now. I had to take a break from it before I got too overboard with the whole thing. I do have US fuel drums lined up waiting for paint. Have a few other odds and ends to throw in back, tryin to fill the trunk with the junk. Anyway built a T34 to go with it but didn't have the proper roadwheels to produce one built in '44, so I scrapped that idear. Spent more time than I wanted on building the T34. Did get some soldering practice in fabricating 1 front fender for it. Hopefully I'll get focused on finishing the DUKW before it migrates.Blush [:I]

Hey stickpusher, Looking good. The gerry cans look a bit oversized!Wink [;)] If they don't fit in the aircobra, there is plenty of room in the DUKW.

mg.mikael, hope to see pics of the M3 Scout progress soon.

Stikman keep us posted with pics on progress of the Achilles.

Looking forward to seeing updates from all.

stikpusher: Looks like your making good progress. I'll be anxiously anticipating your next update!Wink [;)] For some reason, it seems I can never find enough time to work on my scout car, probably due to the fact I have a scratch project in the works. Hopefully I'll work on the scout abit this upcoming weekend.

stick man: Can't wait to see your first update on that Achilles!Smile [:)]

Some progress today! Party [party] I put in the left side "car door" window (letting it dry all day, not wanting to repeat an error that happened with my recent Mosquito build) and late this afternoon I glued the fuesalge halves together. Tomorrow should see some sanding and such.

Hey fellas - I've been doing a bit of "mobile modeling" lately, and since all of the other kits I'm working on are in the painting/decaling/weathering stages, I've gotten a start on the Academy Sherman! Mostly just bogies and roadwheels so far, but I am plugging away. Hopefully once the whole suspension is done, the rest will go together fairly quickly. After reading reviews everywhere, I think I'm going to be glad this one has one-piece tracks - apparently most AM Sherman tracks (of the non-Magic variety) can be quite a chore to assemble.

Pics...sometime! Big Smile [:D]

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted in quite awhile, I have been worried about work. There have been quite a few layoffs, so far I have not been one of the ones chosen. Then last week I stepped through a hole in our walkup attic. I only put one leg through the plaster ceiling in our dining room, so I have been trying to get this fixed this week. On a good note we just had a Hobbytown USA open. Yeah!! [yeah] I now have access to a real nobby shop. Going to check it out tomorrow which is payday.

Oh yeah, I forgot DML made one of those as well...like 6188 or something like that?

Her room is pretty small - was hoping I could at least bring my box with an X-Acto, some sandpaper, and glue, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe when she makes it to rehab she'll have a suitable work bench somewhere. Wink [;)]

Dupes: I saw in the 1,000 Roadwheels that your mom had a stroke. I hope that she makes a full recovery from it. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Hopefully the hospital will allow you to do a little modeling while you are there. Can't wait to see some progress on the M4A2. Your build might just make up my mind on weither to get the Academy or the Dragon kit.

And still no update on my Sherman. Warm weather is supposed to be coming this weekend so I am hoping I have some time to put the MM Dark Green on it.
