Ok, I wiped by 2008 GB slate clean, I will NOT feel guilty of barely finishing anything last year due to work/life issues. I will WILL finish the 2009 GBs I signup for!

Hows that for bravado?  Laugh [(-D]

Howdy Frank old boy.  Since you refuse to venture into the dark world of armor, I must come into the light to see ya.

Can a crossover be included?  My club is doing a GB, mandatory participation for E-Board members, to show what can be done with a snap together model.  We will be doing some displays at various events and want to dmenstratethat you don't have spend your weeks gas money on a build. All the kits we are doing are Pegasus EZ Snaps and  I am doing a G-6 and would like to submit here as well. Me?  In an a/c GB?Confused [%-)]

Hi Frank,

I may regret the overcommittment, but I've sure got the 109 bug... I have a Hasegawa 1:48 K-4 in my stash, also a Hasegawa 1:48 G-6 and a Promodeller 1:72 G-10. I'll nominate the G-6 at this point simply because it's more accessible than the others: I might need AM decals for Reich defense, not sure what's in the kit.

No promises, I'll know in a couple of months what's possible, and might have to withdraw, but I'd sure like to add another 109 to my lineup!

Cheers,

Mike/TB379

I am very interested here. I have not done a late war Luftwaffe fighter in years. Time for a new one. I have several in the stash to choose from.

Hey Frank, I would like to join this GB. I have three G-10 in the stash and need a reason to build one. They are the Revell/Monogram offerings and upon looking at them they are very basic in detail. Maybe I can find some AM stuff to jazz them up a bit. It's in 1/48 by the way.

luftwaffle- Tell me about the badge in your sig, was there a 109 GB earlier this year that I missed?

hkshooter- Thank you!  I got you on the list.  Just let me know when you decide what you want to build. Thumbs Up [tup]

WarHammer25- I think cross-overs are fine.  How much of the kit have you built already?

phoenix- Outstanding!  Glad to have you aboard.  Your expertise will be a welcome addtion here.  I'll go ahead and add the 1/48 G-6, just let me know on the other one whenever you have a chance.

Well I think I'm going to try to pop out 2 before this things over. The first will be one that been hanging around here for years. A hasegawa 1/48 scale G-6, in the marking of Hermann Graf's "green 1" rocket armed reich defender of JG 50. I don't have one of these yet. The second will be a K-4, but depending on if I can get the decals I want will determin what I do. I would like to do a hasegawa 1/48 K-4 jet defender. But if not I will do a hasegawa 1/32 K-4 in Graf's marking.

Are cross-overs allowed? I have the 1/32 Hasegawa Bf-109K-4 that I am building for my Endgame 1946 GB and would be more than happy to include in this GB as well.

Frank, I'd be up for this one. Though I don't have a kit in the stash. I've been looking for a reason to build a 109 and this sounds good. Gives me a reason to spend a little dough at the LHS or, more likely, online.

Bf-109: Reich Defender GB The End
Posted by Daywalker on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 6:21 PM

In talking with a couple of other members here, we thought about starting up a late-war Bf-109 GB.  Any variant from the Bf-109G-6 onward would be eligible.  These would include the G-6, G-10, G-12, G-14, and the K-4.  Any sub-variants of these would also be acceptable (IE G-14/AS).  Any scale allowed, OOB or every aftermarket accessory you can throw at it.  Preferably an unstarted kit, but ones just started would be OK.  My thought is a start date of November 27th, 2008 and running through V-E Day on May 8th, 2009.  Cross-over builds allowed.  If this sounds interesting to you, please feel free to join up!

Below is the GB badge, feel free to grab it whenever you like.  I will host it until the end of the GB (5/8/09).
