Dinner [dinner]Dinner [dinner] Well, I've got a rough "sketch" so far. Whether or not it will materialize this way, I'm not so sure.

Pavlvs,

Your re-engined BUFF reminded me of my version of the "Flight of the Old Dog" B-52 that was re-engined in a later book and thought you might like to see it.Smile [:)]

The design stage for my Sea Hustler is falling into place. I envision it being a fighter/bomber, kinda like the Bombcat. I've been waiting to start this for a long time. Looking forward to seeing all the work that's going to come out of this GB.Big Smile [:D]

Haven't been posting here for quite some time... Anyway, few years back i was going to participate in similar GB with DH Mosquito, reengined with radials (and looking similar to Nakajima J1N). All i did back then, was cutting engines from ancient Lockheed Ventura kit. I hope, that doesn't really count as starting the build (you know... just storing the engines for safekeeping, while rest of the plane rusts outside...Mischief [:-,])? If so, i would participate with "1/72 radial engined DH Mosquito". I am yet to come up with sort of story, how Mosquito got the radials and ended up in Japan (or vice versa), since i intend to use very very old decals from very very old Airfix Zero kit. All this would be done to very very old Airfix 1/72 Mosquito kit...

The peashooter is one of my favorite planes. I see the ancestry in the TravelAir Mystery Ship. Can't wait to see pics.

Two weeks to go. The hour approaches. I'm also thinking of doing a modern FRAM of the USS Bogue. An escort Carrier from WWII. See what an F-14 looks like on a 350 foot flight deck.

I hope your recovery goes as well as possible. I'm choppin' at the bit to get started. My problem is I've got too many ideas running through my head. I was going to wuss out and make mine a land based USN Hustler, but I think I've figured out how to make it work for carrier ops. Lots of spare parts going to be used on this beast!Big Smile [:D]

All the best.

I'd reckon there's haddock martinis in that drum stowed aft....

Thing about the Waddler, it was flightless, although it was very popular in the southern Brazilian port of Bahia.

Like those roundrels very much. Inspired to create the same for the Retrieval Squadron 111.

Squadron codes LA-B on every a/c because after all it's one big happy dog!

Love this one, Chris.  The Penguin roundel is especially inspired.  Looking forward to what you will create for this What If group build.

I would like to play as well!!! Not sure what yet, been planning "something?" for a long time, but have a hard time choppin stuff up. This will give me the motivation for sure. I'm toying with the idea of turning a single into a twin (twin corsair perhaps, ie. f-82 twin-'stang). Whatever, it'll probably be 1/48 ww2.

Glad to have you back! I've been running the Sea Hustler ideas through my head a lot, so I should be able to come up with something.

Thanks about the badge. That is my Spitfire whif I did last year. Anyone who would like to use , feel free to do so.

Tankerbuilder,
You're in! I cannot wait to see the Caroline build. It reminds me of Aristotle Onassis when he converted a destroyer into a pleasure yacht.

Good to see you back Pavlvs. Hope you have a good and speedy recovery! My mind has been full of a lot of projects that I would eventually like to do maybe after the King Tiger II, Mig-25 Strella, and the Super Tiger. A Me-262 two-seat bomber destroyer, a Me-262 single-seat night fighter, and a Ju-290 tanker are a couple that I have been thinking of. And the Navy B-58 does sound very interesting.
