Thanks! That's great!

I've actually already started this one on the dio forum as there's going to be at least 6 figures involved, but I'll repost here IOT finish it out.

I also JUST got my OH-58D in the mail, so YA-HOOOOO!!!!

Also ..... just curious, but have we thought about a Helo GB Badge yet? Just wondering ...

Super, we have 15 troops in the formation!  Rotorheads of the world Unite!

Scott, some work ahead of time is fine with me, just remember that the lifeblood of a good group build is progress pictures, tales of triumph and tails of woe.  So keep notes and chronicle your progress with posts here, everyone. The official start is only 15 days away.

I'm not a real stickler for rules, and in my experience helicopter  guys don't have much use for them when they get in the way of progress anyway.  The point is to have fun together.

Can I still join in on this one? I've got Dragon's 1/35 AH-6J that I started about a week ago. Still detailing the interior though (I can stop until JUL 1 if I really HAVE to ....) I'm building it up as an MH-6 though.

I can also try to cram out a 1/35 OH-58D. I know that Stikpusher was doing one in 1/48, but he said sometime in the 80's. I'd like to put mine during the OIF/ OEF timeframe.

Let me know if I can still join in ... and I'll get crack-in.

I request permission to enter this group build.  I had a Hobbyboss 1/72 AH-1F Cobra arrive on Thursday last week that I can create for this build.

Gotspace for one more in this group?

I just picked up Revellogram's 'Huey Hog' in 1/48th for 7 bucks at Michaels crafts...

Yes, I will be doing the Italeri 1/48 OH-58. I dont think OOB it will work for an 80s era Kiowa that flew by us all the time. So a Vietnam 58 unless I can turn up some reference shots for a "Division 86" era Kiowa where I dont have to add the shrouding over the tail rotor drive shaft and replace the windscreen.

If it is ok, to use something with a little head start put me down for a 1/72 Italeri USAF H-19 with floats.

I've painted the fuselage & tail boom parts silver but that is as far as I got, nothing has been assembled at this point.

Count me in as well, I am thinking UH-1C 1/35th or UH-60L.  Should be able to get one done by the end of Jan.

I would like to give this a try as I've never built a helicopter or done a group build. I have only one in the stash. I picked it up last month because it looked mean.

Count me in for Revell's 1/48 Mil-24D (Hope this is simple enough for a first time helo!).

Thanks!

My situation is even worse than jeaton01's: not only I don't know the subject but I also don't know the scale ... BUT I know for sure that I'll partecipate!

I'll go through my stash and pick one of my many helos.

Oh I'd be in with the Academy CH-46A "USMC Vietnam" that Nam gave me for Christmas last year,; it'd be good to finish it (haven't started) by this Christmas. I have the paints...

Only pity is it's 1/48, but I'm game.

What the heck that is in my pocket: I have NO idea!
