Darren, I still have the Hase Hurri I built for that first GB sitting on the shelf.
Put me & my 1/32 Stuka on the roster please.
Karl
Currently on the bench: AZ Models 1/72 Mig 17PF
Yeah i know what you mean Darren, that was my first GB as well...2004 hard to believe eh...
I chose the 110 not only for it's white nose but also for it's mottled camo, the pic i have looks like RLM 70 and 71 upper which is mottled over RLM 65, It's will be my first time building out of 48 scale, looking forward to it
BTW i never did post up pics of my last GB's BoG ME 262 1/48 tamiya stormbird, Atlantic GB, Revells old smaller type VIIc U-boat and Allied aces GB 1/48 tamiya SpitV with the donald duck on it....I'll get around to that soon........
Jules...
VanceCrozier Daywalker: Sorry Mike! I looked at the lineup when I signed on, and the RAF looked a bit outnumbered so I went that way this time. 'Sides, don't have a Hurricane in the case! I'll be looking forward to your 109, and to building 190's with you soon. ...but having the RAF outnumbered is historically accurate, and tru to the theme of the build!!

Blimey!!! Out-numbered!??! It's what we call a target rich environment!! That will be the day when it doesn't take five huns to match up against one of the queen's finest!
Vance- after I nail the lizard's Do-17 let's hit the pub and I'll buy you a pint- 1/48 scale that is

Jules no problems mate you are in and that 110 with a white should look cool.
Boy I tell you, looking at your sig sure brings back some memories, that Aussie GB in 2004 was the first build I did after joining the forum, sigh.
Aaronw I might be able to help out a little with your research, let me get back to you ok.
Dave if you want in you know you are always welcome, just post back here if time allows due to your move.
Cheers
Darren sign me up as a definate would you mate......Been looking forward to another BoB GB having missed the last couple...
I'll be building Dragons 1/32 Me 110 C series probably a machine from 3staffel ZG 26 with the white noses and spinners......
I'd like to do a 1/72 Matchbox Lysander, but I could use some help with appropriate markings.
I'd really like to do an AIr Sea Rescue Lysander but not sure which squadrons did this or if they had special markings. Obviously I have some research ahead of me, but thats ok, I still have to find a kit too.
B17 pilot – great! I need all the help I can get, so you go first lol I have a few WIPs/GBs to complete before tackling my little 109 squadron, 3 different Emils for 3 different GBs.
LOL, ya right Mike!
Your 109's are some of the finest I have seen bar none.
Frank
True! Plus saves me from the old "sheez, I wish my Emil would have turned out as nice as Franks!" He's giving me an inferiority complex.

luftwaffle Daywalker: jmabx: And since Frank will be building a *GASP* Hurricane, I would like to bring out a Hasegawa Bf 109E-4. Tally ho, chaps! Jerry cabbage crates over the briney! Pop in your stringbags and get the bacon delivered!" Frank!!!! After all the 109's we've built together you're leaving me for a Hurricane? Say it isn't true!!!

satch_ip stikpusher: Oberfeldwebel Werner Machold, 9. JG2. There are a few shots of him and his mount in the Osprey Book Sptfire vs BF-109. Total kills 32 at the time of his downing and capture in 1941. He claimed 13 Spits during the Battle. Sorry, don't have that particular pilot. I have a couple of JG2 birds but not his. But I do have the Osprey book Bf 109D/E Aces 1939-41. It has a nice color profile of your subject and a blurb. There is also a photo of Machold on the back cover. The profile is of an E-4 with 26 kills.

No worries. I picked up the Osprey book that I mentioned earlier and it has at leat two shots of his Emil. or at least two partial shots of his mount and one of him. He flew with 9.JG2 startng in early September 1940 after having scored well with 1.JG2. I like the fact that he is an NCO pilot as well. The Spit I am working on currently is gonna be from 609 Squadron and since those two units operated in the same region on opposite sides of the Channel, I thought they would make a good pair. If I can find a good NCO pilot markings from 609 Squadron I may be tempted to go that choice.

JMart Daren - I am changing my mind on the build... will be doing the old Tamiya 1:48 Bf 109-E3, marking options is Galland's aircraft from III./JG 26. I also have the Aires cockpit for that kit, so we will see how it comes out! cheers

stikpusher A trip to the LHS turned up a decal set that when used with another that I already have will add up to make the 109E I want to do from 9./JG2. Sweet!

Who's Emil are you doing? I've got three or four sheets of BoB Emils.
Mind if I get in on your star studded group build Darren?

This is going to be a good one, with all of the usual suspects here already!
Hey Darren, Ive got my kits for this build sorted. I have a Has 1/32 ME109-3 that I started a few years ago but not far down the line and I will also be building a Do-24 in 1/72 by revell

So many excellent build nominations already, I think this is going to be a great GB.
Now I just have to come up with a cool badge.
