Yep, i am still here. Planning on (probably) building the old Revell 1:48 Spitfire Mk II. I have to check and make sure i have markings for the BoB with that kit.

Darren.....

I will have my elves put together a DO-17 and have it go head to head against the big turtle's Spitfire!!! Super Angry

Im sure they will welcome the change from Pacific subjects.

Not sure I need to check in my attic but I am pretty sure I have a Hobbycraft 1/48 Do in a box somewhere....if not I will be purchasing one.....

Thanks Mate..

Glad to see this one up and running! I have two builds that I started but are hopelessy stalled and this is just the thing to jump statr them. I will be doing a Hasegawa 1/32 Meserschmitt Bf-109 E-4 for Gallands JG-26 ride and a Revell circa 1963 Supermarine Mk1 spitfire. Both are partiallty started but a long way from being done. Thanks.

Hi Darren,

I don't know what I'm gonna build but I can't pass on this GB, please add me to the roster.

Cheers...

I'm definitely in with a 1/32 Eduard Bf 109E-1 (JG 54) and a 1/32 Trumpeter Bf 109E-3 (4./JG 51).

Hey Darren- always a pleasure. I would like to enter the Special Hobby 1/72 Avro Anson Mk.1. It's a crossover with the latest version of the FAA GB.

Thanks Darren for another great GB!

Please put me down with a Tamiya Supermarine Spitfire Mark I.

I've got aftermarket decals, an Eduard ZOOM PE set, and the masks for the canopy. Plus I ordered a set of camo masks from Gator Masks- my first time using them.

So when April 1st rolls around I should be all set and ready to go.

Hey Darson, just replying so I can keep track of this one, and possibly add my name to the roster late.

Great we've already got a few responses which I've added to the roster on page 1, this includes you guys who have PM'd me.

For anybody who incated early on that they were interested I won't be adding your builds by default, please come back to me to confirm you are in.

Cheers

Hi Darson,

Excellent! I'm in! Well, if incompletes are welcome, this is a perfect opportunity for me to resurrect the Do-17 Z-2 I started for the '08 BOBGB but never finished. That's Matchbox, 1:72, fully rescribed, with AM clear parts and markings. I reckon I got about half way there.

In addition, I think maybe a 1:48 Tamiya Bf 109 E-4 in yellow-nose trim is almost an inevitability. I also have the 1:48 Tamiya Spitfire 1 and the Revell edition of Hasegawa's 1:72 He-111, both of which are appropriate subjects, though neither of them has reached me from the States yet, perhaps sometime in the next six months they will!

A month to clear some other projects -- gulp, I have at least seven urgent subjects in that time!

Cheers, Mike/TB379

I will be partaking here. Since partial builds are allowed I am gonna start with a Revell 1/32 Spitfire I that I am currently working on. I am doing lots of add on to the basic kit so I am sure that by the official start date I will be far from completed on it. If by some miracle I am done my second entry will be a Matchbox 1/32 Bf-109E.

G'day all,

Ok we have four weeks to kick-off so I though it might be time to crank up this thread.

I have sent everyone who has responded to the thread so far a PM so see if they are still interested so either PM me back or just post your reply here, whichever is easier.

Just a quick run through on the rules which I have posted on page 1.

1. Any aircraft that flew at least one authorised operational sortie with an eligible unit of the Royal Air Force, Fleet Air Arm, Luftwaffe or the Reggia Aeronautica during attempt by Germany's Luftwaffe to gain control of British airspace and destroy the Royal Air Force in the period 10 July to 31 October 1940.
2. Any scale
3. OOB or as much PE & Aftermarket as you want.
4. Crossover builds with other GBs are allowed.
5. Incomplete builds (at any stage of completion) from the shelf of doom are very much allowed.
6. The start date for the group build is April 1st 2010 with the completion date being Oct 31st 2010.
7. This build is open to everyone regardless of modeling skills
8. This current thread will be used for the group build
9. Must have fun Big SmileBig Smile

The list of eligible aircraft is posted on page one.

Cheers

I'm in too for this gb with the Aifix Spitfire Mk1a and Boulton Paul Defiant, both in 1/72..

The Defiant is a pig by all accounts but looking forward to the challenge!

I would like to also join in...  Revell 1:48 Spitfire Mk II.  Will have to do some research to make sure the markings available include BOB options. Not sure how much AM I will use, but will be close to OOB

cheers

Darren,

Could you please put me down as a provisional? I'm down for a bunch of group builds and am still trying to clear some 2009 builds off my bench but I'm making decent progress and should have an opening by April.

She'll be a Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk I.

I am interested in this, but will have to wait and see how things are going in April.  I got a 1/48 Tamiya Bf-109E-4 that will work.

Darren,

I made my mind:  a Hurricane Mk I with 303 Sqdn (RFoF) markings , September 1940.

Hasegawa 1/48, Techmod decals, PART details.

Darren, put me down for the 21st Century Toys 1/32 Ju 87 B-1.

The kit itself is more of a B-1.75 than a true B-1, so a little kit bashing will be required.Big Smile

Would Revells He-111 be ok for this build? I have one sitting in the basement. I've never delt with aftermarket parts, PE, or decals. If there is something needed to make this a BOB airplane let me know, I'll be interested in joining this build. It will give me some more experiance in building aircraft.
