B17 she's a looker for sure!!! Well Done!!!Toast I agree about the Pratt's, or at least GE's! I have a book called Air Freighters, and in there they have many pics of the C-46's used in La Paz, Bolivia. One of the captions said, When operating at these altitudes with heavy loads, you have to trust in God and Pratt & Whitney! Lol I thought that was great!Toast

Looks awsome!!!!  To bad they have been having engine troubls.  If they had Pratt and Whitney engines instead of Rolls Royce they wouldnt have that problem lol!!!

Eatthis: found this article... not sure if this is what your looking for... also found this pic, thought it was cool  :)  Bad day but Cool.  My dad works up at Bangor International Airport, (Central Maine) and he has seen something simular to this except the concorde was on the ground.

I wouldn't throw it away.  If paint stripper didn't work, try sanding the paint out or possibly smooth enough for another coat to cover the first one.  My 380 took three coats of white before it was to my liking.

Good, I would just go over the cones with a wash of dark gray or black to tone it down a bit is all. They would be a burnt iron color as that is the 'hot' part of the engine. Looking good mate!!!!Toast

Hey all got some pics for you.  The photo quality is not great and i apoligize for this.  So here is pics from start to were I am now.

The pics above are of them still on the sprue's and before anything is done.

Attempted some drybrushing on these engine components.  and im not sure if the poited cones on the end are supposed to be that color but i liked it.  Its like a 70% steal 30% rust color mix.  I may have gone to heavy on the rust color though.

And again i apoligize on the light quality and picture size.  some pics may be small.

The windows are decals, including the front windshield.  The Qantas decal set had the windows specific to Qantas so I used them.  Each airline has a different arrangement of windows, so I filled in the generic ones and used the ones from the decal set, good thing to cause I saw that some of the ones I filled in weren't covered by the decals (though you have to get like two inches from the model to see the filled in ones).

So i saw earlier on that you puttied the windows right?  Now in your latest pic here are those decals?  Or painted?  I am pondering putting my windows as well and just using the decals maybe???

Goodness180 - Enjoy your build of the A380!  I've enjoyed mine.

Speaking of mine, I got mine all decaled and the small stuff added.  When everything has dried a semi-gloss coat and a little weathering will finish the body up.  Next up the engines.

Here she is all decaled up:

Goodness180

Yes that is the plan.  I work for Pratt & Whitney in Maine and I am planning on making a hole line of Aircraft that has Pratt engines on them.

man i thought my plan of doing all the Boeing airliners would be big, followed by all the variants of the 737, but that plan of yours is huge.  Good luck on it!  Definitely want to see all of them!
