Welcome Sign aboard Buddy!  Glad to have you here mate.

lewbud

Frank,

You might as well build the divine scale kit because Pegasus doesn't make a F/A-18 kit.

LOL!  Hmmm... did the Sarge put you up to that?  If he did, I have it on good authority that he does in fact have a Hornet in his stash.

Great pic, BTW! Propeller

Thanks Frank. I wanted to build a Marine F-18 since they are the best pilots but I guess a Navy version will do. Wink

Mike- Gotta admit, I was a little surprised you went with a Super Hornet.  I expected  one of the Legacy Hornets from you! Wink

Well Frank, it is a more modern version that the Marines SHOULD have but Uncle Sam always thinks the USMC should have the second best equipment. Go figure! Confused

Besides that, it is the only F/A-18 in my stash! Big Smile

Sorry Billy Boy, close but no cigar.  Do you mean to tell me you do not have one of the gray pointy Hornets in your stash?

Yeah 30 hours bench time seems about right, lots of parts, complicated assembly and a simple 2 tone camo scheme...I normaly spend about 20 hours on a 1/48 WW11 fighter....

I hear you Frank!

I cleaned off the modeling bench, straightened things up and took the kit out and looked it over.

This Revell kit has 184 pieces. Wink

Hello Chaps! Captain

I forgot to mention that I ran into a chap flying a Hornet when I was at RAF Fairford last July. He did put on a very good show for us Brits and I have to say this is a very impressive fighter.

So, when are we starting? PirateToast
