John, B-57 is looking good. Thanks to you, Canberras are singing to me! I'm not sure when I'll get to it, but I won an Airfix Mk20 in 72nd scale. I want it to be an RAAF in Vietnam night intruder when I get to it.
Ripcord, yes 100 degrees is a brisk day in AZ! But it is the DRY heat, lol. My wife is from Phoenix, and all she ever does is complain about the humidity. She says Texas should be the bad hair state, not the lone star state. If I try and paint on a day like that, all I get is grit too. I still have to spray a lot closer than I do during the rest of the year. How's it with the dust out there?

Thanks Greg and congrats on the ebay score of the Airfix RAAF Mk20 Canberra 
I think I read somewhere that the Airfix kit has those wing tip bomb pylons/bracket included , if that is the case , when you get yours would it possible to post a pic of one , as I need to scratch a couple up for my High Planes Mk20 Canberra .
Speaking of Night Intruder Canberra's , we've had a bit of wet weather here in Sydney these past couple of days , quite the opposite to the sunny days in Texas , so airbrushing paints has been put on hold for the time being . So in the mean time I still would like to add some more B-57 Canberra's to your GB and I mentioned before about a "Candle" trio of a C-123K Provider Flare Ship , a B-57B (Hells Angel) and the O-2A Skymaster FAC .
I searched around the net for some images of the Flare Ship and found these two C-123K pic's ...
Because of the wet weather and no airbrushing I decided to jump ahead a little and do some prelim' work on Mach 2's C-123 ...
I have built two of these kits before (however their yet to be painted) and there is quite a lot of work involved in getting the parts cleaned up and ready for glueing .
On the inside of nearly every piece are these big lugs that stick up and need to be ground down with a motor tool ...
Because there is so much Grinding , sawing and filing ; I set up the bench in the garage so as not to cover my work area inside with plastic dust ;
There are a few major issue's with the kit and having some previous experiance in putting them together , I was able to do a fair bit of the heavy filing early on ;
The wheel well opening for the main landing gear and wheels is too small and I needed to saw and file about 3mm more to get the wheel to fit ;
This also means I will need to extend the sides of the wheel boxing that fits inside each fuselage half and I'll do that later on .
There is also quite a bit of heavy filing on both fuselage pieces in the middle (top and Bottom) so the nose and the tail can close up a bit better ;
Also the slots for the rear horizontol stabilizers are heavilly flashed over and the moter tool is required to clean out the slots ;
That's about it so far , as well as modifying the main gear boxing next , there is some additional work on the cockpit floor and bulkhead to get them to fit correctly .
I hope the Flare Ship fits in with the theme of the Night Fighter GB , seeing that the C-123K is the most difficult to build out of the Three aircraft 'candle Trio' I just thought I would make a start on her first , the B-57B Night Intruder goes together easily and the O-2 looks straight forward as well .
Fine weather predicted for tomorrow , so it will be to airbrushing the B-57G .
