Sorry, dude. You'll have to spell this one out for me? Still not up on all those terms.

Oh sorry Casper IP = instrument panel and the CRT would be the small TV screens on the instrument panel. I more than likely don't have the name of those right. I am still hoping to start the Horton 229 soon and be finished by the end date, I know time is running out for me though. This has really been a bad building year for me.
Randy So many to build.......So little time
Sorry guys, I seem to be a bit remiss on the hosting it seems. A couple of builds escaped me!
Travis, your completed F-117 is on the front page. I am very sorry, not sure how I missed this for so long!
Scorpiomikey, is your F-117 completed? Last WIP showed painting and decals but canopy and such things had still not been attached? Just let me know and we can get Page 1 udpated. Pete still haven't seen completed SR-71, hopefully this can get updated as well. Less than 8 weeks to go but I am sure I will extend the build time.
On the bench: A-4F 1/32 Hasegawa
Just deployed: F6F-5N Hellcat Nightfighter 1/48 Eduard
Up next: A6-E Intruder 1/48 Revell

Nice work Casper Love the pit man, how did you do the crt effect on the IP ? Cant wait to see where it goes from here.
Even though this kit came molded in black styrene, it does not truly begin to look awesome until the semi-gloss black coat goes on over the primer.
I've been testing the Flory pro modeller wash to see what type of highlights I can get on a semi-gloss black finish. As the wash is dark gray and not black I figure it should make a subtle impact to the panel lines.
The panel wash is on the bomb bay door on the right. Apart from the gloss and naturally occurring highlights I think you can see a difference. As the whole plane is covered in panels I think this should break up the monotonous surface and create a lot of depth on the model.
I'll see how it goes over a larger surface area.
Ok got the cockpit fitted, puttied, sanded, painted and ready to go.
The bird is primed ready for some semi-gloss black;
Got some more detailing done. Some weathering on the ordinance;
Bit blurry but the oil picked out the details on the wheel and bomb bays;
Cockpit came up well!
Got some more work done on the Nighthawk.
Wheel bays and bomb bay painted and fitted;
Ordinance painted and decalled before panel wash;
Cockpit before light oil wash;
Not a lot of parts in this kit but a lot of plastic!
As usual the Tamiya quality is great to work with. No flashing, everything fits. All the parts have been cut off the sprues, just need painting putting together. It's a relatively simple kit but will look great with the right amount of detailing.
Fuselage prepped and ready to go;
I wish more kits joined top to bottom instead of left to right. The F-16 kits do it, right?! It wouldn't be hard to do with a lot of planes, just hide the join along panel lines. It would eliminate the need for seems down the middle of the fuselage.
various gray primed parts...first the wheel/bomb bays and cockpit;
wheels, bombs etc.;
IP with coloured PE. Next some picking out of details with a painted pin head and silver dry brushing;
That's all for now.
Looking good. Can't wait to see more. I still need to add the landing gear and decals to the Predator.
Building- (All 1/48) F-14A Tomcat, F-16C Blk 30, He 129
I'm glad I didn't hack away everything that Aires said to on the resin tub instructions!
I would have lost the whole top of the area behind the seat where the canopy latches on.
I was careful to examine the fit before I cut away any styrene. As it happens there is a slight gap but it is easily repairable.
Have I mentioned how much I hate cutting resin cockpits away from their casting blocks!
Ok, time to breath some life back into this limp GB!
The F-117A Nighthawk. This thing is huge, it dwarves the Phantom II! Is this the largest single person plane produced?
I got the Eduard interior coloured PE, the Aires cockpit set and Eduard white metal landing gear. I don't think I'll build the Hummer that came in the box.
Ok now that I have some time, it's back at it. Got the Predator painted. Although I found a spot that I'll have to fix. Here's she is painted.
Casper the Chihuahua Medicman, I love the look of the Predator! Just pure evil! Cheers

It does have a little of that fear factor about it huh?
Shes certainly a sexy bird.

Another update on the Predator. Got the rear stabilizers on. Just the gear to finish then painting.
Wow. Great looking F-117 Scorpiomikey. It's really looking good.
Hi. Very nice builds going on here! I finished the Testors F-117 a while back. Not as happy with it. The major problem I had was the canopy. Unlike some of the other kits out there testors doesn't have very much raised detail to mask off. I ended up hand painting the canopy and of course the colors didn't match up!! Here are some pics.
Lucky for me I obtained an Italeri kit with updated markings. I will attempt to redo the plane. Might have to use a liquid mask to get the clean lines!

yeah ive seen that around, it would be a monster, im building the 48 scale one and its already half the size of our dinner table (small table) and almost too big for my work area.
Nice looking 117, Mikey! I especially like the giant Skunkworks logo underneath! Trés Enormous!
Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing the finished pics. BTW have you seen the Testors kit in 1/32? It looks like it might be a recent kit.
Looking good everyone, got a couple progress shots.
Still a wee ways off completion, but getting there.
The F-4 nose does look a little odd, but there's a lot of odd things about the India model. I did one earlier in 1/320 scale that does have a elongated SST style nose, but my kitbashing box had a scrapped Phantom II and its nose looked close to what I want. I need to find my putty and probably do some work, but I kind of like it. Looks somewhat like a B-1B nose. What I'm shooting for for it to look like it was pieced together with parts that don't quite match up, so it will look like what it truly is-a flying stealth technology/weapons testbed that was never meant to be a production aircraft. Kind of the last hurrah for the faithful old Stratofortress...the "Megafortress."

Building 1/48 P-47G "Doublebolt", 1/48 MiG-15bis, 1/144 B52-I "Old Dog"
Medicman71 manji99: Planning to finish it out with a diorama depicting the "Old Dog" in its hanger at the "Dreamworks" facility. Complete with dobermans outside the building. Cool. That'll look awesome. Can't wait to see more. I'm gonna prime the Predator later today. Then painting tomorrow.

Great work guys, can't wait to see the 'Old Dog' complete. Interesting concept with the nose switcheroo. Also will be great to see the Predator as well.

manji99 Thanks, Medicman. Just put them up on Photobucket. Going to post one as a test, along with the link to the rest of the album. http://s1115.photobucket.com/albums/k554/manji99/Models/
