How is the fit of the cockpit? I seem to remember somebody mentioning the fuselage walls (or cockpit floor etc.) could use a little thinning.

Use the seats as a guide for where to put the consoles. Photos show there's not a lot of room in there, so I made them pretty tight against the sides of the seats.

As you can see, I had to move the side consoles in from the edges. There are absolutely no marks or indications of where these glue down on the floor, but if they were at the edges the cockpit definitely wouldn't fit.

 

Use the seats as a guide for where to put the consoles. Photos show there's not a lot of room in there, so I made them pretty tight against the sides of the seats.

Will file that away for when I get started on that Pucara,

joined the two consolles by a styrene sheet piece, to keep the right distance between, and added other details

more shaping on ejection seat

And started the new front gear well

used the gear hole for cutting a raw shape of the top

added a millimeter to lines

and starting to add walls to the well

this is actual situation before sleep take me over

Just to let everyone know, I have not forgotten about this GB; Ive just been really busy with school.

No worries OWL, still plenty of time left to run on this GB. I haven't been around much either, but will be home in a week so will get back to keeping up with the forums more often.

bsyamato  Finally able to catch up on some of whats going on on this GB and thats some great scratch building going on there. And this is a great WiP on how to do it. I know i will be watching closely haveing never tried scratching at this level before your post are very informative. Look forward to seeing more.

but at the war time he was not with many money and without the yacht.

I'm triyng search more details on the damned gr3 cockpit but nothing relevant till now. I read recently that gr3 during this war had some details that the italeri kit not include. Some antenna on the nose (or some other sensor) and a chaff dispenser housed rear the airbrake, and on the wing's gears some sort of ring to aid anchorage on carriers. Still searching for good pictures, here the whole article including all gr3 involved in the war

Beautiful cockpit work bsyamato, and a great how-to for boxing in the gear bay. I really need to pick up a hole-punch so I can try some of that instrument panel scratching you do so well. (Or I could try it with a slowly-turning drill bit )

me too need the hole-punch tool but here i used just hand drill

wellcome to the forum! it will be nice to see a 1/48 Harrier in the group. I hear that the Tamiya kit is a bit tricky to build so good luck LOL It´s a shame no one did a better kit of that important plane, let´s hope that change some day.

I hear you could simply buy a real Harrier now that they are retired! I've spotted a couple on the Britmodeller website, not sure if you've seen these or not:

 I presume the dad make him fly with an outstanding kick.... not enough money to reach the needed 120.000 £ for the plane

new supplies arrived!

i scored 4 airfix kits for 3 euro each! 

too low quality they are!

a westland scout , comes with the main roror head broken.. but it's so little and pretty raised panels and bad glossy plastic finish

a mig-23 .. 

a saab viggen... afterburner pipe is only in the close version as airbrake inverter. Wells are about a millimeter of dept... raised panels .. a disaster. probably i'll use as dummy to try NMF 

and the expendable super etendard as decals supplier

I remember building the Airfix MiG 23 & Viggen about 20 odd years ago. At the time i thought wow, these are awesome. But at 12 euros, guess they will be useful for a few things.

heres the airfix super etendard in his crude box

details are not so bad respect other 3 kits but not comparable to fine lines of academy/italeri sue

a good point for this kit is the correct housing of canopy

and here decals comparison, airfix are more accurate in the colors... then recruit for my build!

Whoever gathered that stash originally had an eye for those little European jets. I find them just different enough from what is usually built here that I find them interesting, even if they aren't high-tech modern kits.

that's for sure ! with the same order i bought two amodel kits , a yak-28r and a kamov ka-18 (few minutes ago started the wip on helicopter section) that are almost short run (the yak-28 surely) kits as details and fitting, but are two wanted subject.

Apart the grief and the gannet from revell i have not high-tech models (most of my kits are academy or italeri) just mig-23 and viggen was not on my actual top-list  and we an found at low cost better kits without curse nobody during build phase

Hello Friends of the forum, in these days encontre these soldiers' figures that took part in the war of malvinas, are two figures of English soldiers and two figures of Argentine commands.

Commands with the painting base

I need to know that type of English soldiers are: royal marinade, gurkas, parachutists, etc. To be able to know that uniform they go and of that colors it is the uniform and the equipment that they take.

It wanted to know if with these figures I can do them as the soldiers of the photo:
