How do you open it?

I'm about to make one but still not sure what will be the best system to prevents the entry of dust and humidity. Here at Azores, in the middle of the Atlantic, the humidity is always very high.

detailing ejection seat and the rear seat zone, thanx to el jere pictures . Lots of problems encountered on the main gear/gear doors assembly, needed to resize some piece: probably is a kit bad engineering, will post soon pictures about this academy\italeri error. wings main pilons too ,needed to place in another position to avoid touch between exocet\fuel tank and gear doors

the wrong gear pieces, gears idraulic actuators was shorted to fit correct, gear doors too

and... at 3:35 pm i finished it

tomorrow will do last retouches and take decent outdoor pictures, now is time to locate my bed and use it

as you see i miss the 04 numbers on upper wings hope to get in future, and the sink mark , becaue decided to ambient the plane before the mission.

last mods was the ejection seat more details and cockpit rear bulkhead with some intrsuments , holes and a tube added.

Bsyamato -- you've done a most remarkable job! I think this is the most detailed (the scratched additions are amazing) and realistic brush-painted model I've ever seen! I've been spray painting for 32 years and have literally forgotten what it means to dip a brush in paint and apply it to a model. This one visually competes with air-painted models, and that is an outstanding accomplishment.

Grerat job, that look brilliant. And brush painted as well.

i ever painted with brushes ,in twenty years some trick i learned with brushes

probably with an airbrush i cannot get good results ( but some day i must get one)

Will follow the gb for a while before to return on the harrier, need to finish others subject for the others gb involved.

Thank for the coment on the display case guys, I´m quite happy with it too!

Like you, I live in a very humed and hot climate, about 40-42ºC inn the hotest days of summer and up to 0% humidity, so I know what are you talking aout LOL.

The cabinet have a lateral door in one side and in the othr side you open it by takink a portion of the rar wooden panel wich is screwd to the metal structure, it isn´t vr practical but it works... I belive that if the system works here it surely will work for you, I think we share the climate, but I live in a mediterranean province so I doon´t know about the sea enviroment.

At least some progress on the Super Etendard, not too much but something..

I filled and sanded the gaps, and have to rescribe some panel lines.

The fit is quite poor but nothing that with putty and patience any modeler could not solve.

I´m also working in adding a little detail in the wheel weel, I just have started, and still have to add some hidraulic lines.

I also perforated the inside of the airbrakes.

Also have glued the weels halves, Exocet, extrnal tank and some other parts. I hope to post more pictures this week.

yes is real sea , mar jonio, a piece of mediterraneo sea i live at just two km of the coast.

Your etendard looks good till now and show the correct panel lines under the fuselage, academy kit was wrong on these details ..

on the workbech i can count 2 copter (one full scratched in a little scale) , 3 planes and two sci-fi subjects, but actually the sue is the only and the first finished kit for a gb

Here the temperature at the summer is not so high (26/28ºC) but the humidity is always above 80-90% so the temperature sensation is much higher.

I will copy the system you have at you cabinet.

sounds like you guys are in the same type of heat wave us folk from the Midwest USA are in...temps in the high 90s (today was 97! (36* C)) with high humidity pushing the heat advisory up to 115*F!  (46*C) Not to mention the flooded river we have adding extra moisture, and swarms of bugs!

~GASP!~  Last post on August 3?!?! 

I've been looking at my Sea Harrier & considering spending a session on the cockpit or underwing stores, but I remember what happened to Adolf & Co. when they opened up that Eastern front! Coming close to finishing off the "lingering builds" I have on the go, looking forward to the SHAR within the next couple weeks.

Anyone heard from Bish?? Hope he's not too close to the action in London & area....

Almost done. Just have to do a preflight, add the windscreen wiper and whatever else I notice missing.

I resorted to sawing the canopy up and posing the back part open, with some scratched up pistons etc. The rockets were pilfered from an A-26 kit. It's really too bad the kit did not come with ordnance.

try to fix some weight on the engines if propellers are not fixed (or in the same propeller ogives) , a low risk to pay for looking at this great build in right position.

Looks good  bondoman! But now you've got me thinking about sawing the canopy open as well. I'll see how my cockpit turns out before deciding!   Did you add any weight to the engince nacelles? Looks like there's room for some lead fishing weights, BBs etc.

No not nacelles It's really tiny in there and the wheel well is big. I am going to put a pin in one of the front tires and put it on a base, at least for photos. Easy enough.
