WOW ! Great looking progress on your builds everyone !

I've been having wireless internet connection problems on my laptop so the wife finally let me use her desk top .She claims i get her mouse and keyboard all cruded up ............ must be the beer n cheetos .

Andy , you gotta rub it in with them pics of Niagra and the Canadian beer dont cha ! Ever try Kokanee beer ?Its made in B.C. Canada .

Carl:  Thanks for the comments on the interior!  Your build looks like it's coming along really well.  I'm watching it closely!

PANZERWAFFE:  Thanks for the comments on the interior as well.  I've always been told there is a fine line between being brave and being insane and I think I've lept across that line with these fenders!  As for the red primer color I used Tamiya XF7 Red, XF1 Black, and XF2 White.  My ratios were (keep in mind it was for the airbrush) 35:1:approximately 27 respectively.  I really just used enough white to lighten the color until it looked about a shade lighter than my references.  Hope I'm not too late with the colors for ya!

Andy:  Sure, you go on vacation to Canada, which is known for being cold and don't bring back anything in the form of cooler weather.  You did manage to bring back beer though!  Thanks for the comments on the interior.  Now I'm feeling some peer pressure to leave some hatches open.

Hinksy:  Looks good!  I'm going to have to get one of those when I have a chance!

I've managed to work on this beast some the past couple of days.  Unfortunately there hasn't been much to report.  I've completed one of the fenders and am about 60% complete on the other.  With 150 parts per fender it's taken a little while!  Here are some progress pics.

With the kit part dry fitted for comparison.

Nice Brian . Those brass fenders look cool !

I made the bar that holds the spare tracks from copper wire then used glazing putty to represent the welds that attach it to the vents . I tried using styrene rod but it is overly flimsy . I put a few bends in the wire to show wear and tear .

And , nice location for a couple of pin marks that need filling in .........................

What a great GB guys. I wish I could have particpated, but I don't mind watching.

Rob, it keeps getting better. Good to know about that gun, so I might just consider one.

Carl- No I haven't tried Kokanee ... not sure if they are easily found in Ontario where I go every summer.  Great work on your Panzer... clever move using cooper wire instead.  I am holding one or two for you here...

Brian- I agree with others... your PE fenders look hundred times better than the kit part.  Bet they will look great when they are done and painted. 

Ben- After pre-shading job, I usually thin the base coat paint as much as 50/50.  It worked just great on my Marder and Chaffee.  I didn't thin my base coat for earlier builds especially StuG III B so I saw the big difference there.  And of course do one overspray at a time and step away for a minute to determine if it needs another coat or not. 

But your SIG is still looking great.  You can always do post-shading by adding lighter tone to the base coat and airbrush over the center areas to make it work if you wish.

stach_ip- Thanks for the greta link!   I saw it a while ago but I didn't have it bookmarked.  Now it is...  guys would enjoy this too. 

                               Some great builds happening,suppose I should share what I have accomplished lately. The track clean-up averaged just under a min. per link so yup two-hundred and some odd minutes.And the small bits in the brass detail set also tend to try ones patience,all in all it's coming along. Sorry no interior details on this one. Perhaps if I would have used one of the new smart kits.Just ordered the new ausf. N through the facebook friends deal,and while I was at it the wife said I might as well have that Ersatz M-10 also,a great bargain,better than any I've gotten from Evil-bay in a while.Ok on to the pics.

                                  As always any  comments are welcome.

Hey buddy!  What a great process so far... nice touch with the clamps too!  Finally something other than Panzer and StuG IIIs.  I see few sheets of brass PEs so are you planning to use all of them on this?

I'm looking for some detail pics of the smoke grenade launchers on the Ausf. M , specifically the wiring to the back of the launchers .

This might not too helpful. M's were the only version to have them correct?

Eric posted a great picture of smoke launchers but the wirings seem to be missing.  However you can clearly see a hole right behind the center canister... that's where all three wirings go inside. 

I found this when I googled... however the wiring for top canister is missing.

Like I said earlier, I will start my Pz III as soon as I am done with my current build.  Can't wait...

Both Spitfires are done and dusted so it's on to the the Pz III.  I managed to snip and clean all the running gear yesterday at my desk while it was too hot to venture out to the garage.  Wholesale work on this beauty begins tomorrow.

I think the last time the temp dropped below 90 here in central Texas was probably, oh, April. Seriously, it's getting stupid. Pulled up the weather on the phone today...

satch may have escaped Spitfireland, but I'm still in the midst of it. May try to make some moves on the Pz.III tonight while I'm waiting for it to cool down enough to airbrush the underside, now that I have an Azure Blue that's actually blue, not purple.

Being summertime, he's probably doing a lot of biking. He was working on his Sturer Emil for the Panzerjager GB, but I haven't seen him of late.

If a Panzer IV GB is your build du jour, there is nothing from preventing someone to start another.
