Not trying to be mean here but is there anything else? it's just that it takes a while to up load the these badges and would like it if I could complete it in one shot.

No, sorry if I was sounding rude, but just wanted you to be aware of it. Normally spelling in a post doesn't bother me, but I just feel if it's in our badge, then I'd prefer it to be correct. Wink

Hey guys,

I found this image:

http://www.guy-sports.com/fun_pictures/ww2c.jpg

I thought it seemed to fit the badge ideas I'd seen batted around. Anyone want to dress it up and see if it can be made into an acceptable badge?

That looks good !

I'm so bad. I apologize to all that have created badges. I stuck my nose into them and kind of personalized them to my own ideas. I want all to continue to put your own ideas forward. I will for now on remain neutral, like Switzerland. Big Smile

Sorry Eric, but you are the host of this GB....thats why every one is asking you.... : )   how about this idea... all the badge submissions go to a subfolder or post where they can be displayed... at the appropriate time, after all submissions, the members will vote... no pressure on you... submit your best.. the voting will do the rest !

I've been very quiet.......         I do appreciate all the work that has been put into the badge offerings.      While it does have significance, I am good with the general consensus....       Looking forward to the build...

Enjoy the ride!

I am with you guys... I am so ready... I actually dreamed about my build and saw its completion.... Is that totally neurotic or what?... from my dream I know my camo scheme, but ironically,I can't see the name of my tank yet...

maybe tonight....  I may have to consult with jc

Good idea. Post them or send them to me, then I'll make a single post with all the badges in them.

I like the idea of voting for the badge!  I am always a fan of democracy.  I believe there are four potential GB badges so far.  To make this even more exciting, our host Eric is offering a prize of ten kits from his huge stash to the winner of the GB vote off? Wink

I am really looking forward to this.  Again, I will join later as soon as I finish my next build for my own GB...

Wwwwhhhhoooaaaa....slow down Andy. You know we're in a financial crisis?

I often thought that would be kind of cool if a vote was taken on the completed builds to see who's is best. A small prize could be given, but I wouldn't want anyone's feeling hurt if they didn't win and not everyone is from the same skill set.

After that it went into my stash and got forgot about . I bought it at the little variety store that used to be here in town , It was a Ma and Pa operation that had been here for many yrs .Coffee

Oh, I've looked at mine. The hull fits easily within my palm. Those tracks are freaking tiny. Oh, did I mention the tracks are tiny? Blind Fold

I have yet to remove the plastic seal on my Pz IV-C...but it has been taken out of the stash closet and is "on deck" waiting its turn patiently. Big Smile The KV-1 is nearing completion so it won't be long!

Carl, I do think we should be allowed to open and wash our sprues. That way, we'll be ready to build on the 18th, otherwise, its' a whole extra day. Angel

Hi guys : )

Hey I think you all should open your boxes NOW and check to make sure all the sprues are there

and that none of the parts are warped or melted or mis-shapen... make sure the decals are there... heck make sure the instructions are there !  clean and wash them ... examine them carefully... you DO NOTwant to open the box on Sunday and have an un fixable warped hull and decals for an M1 A2 Abrams where a balkenkreuz  should be.

OPEN KITS NOW PLEASE... IT IS NOT CHEATING

Eric, with your permission, let's declare this OPEN THE BOX DAY !Stick out tongue

Well I’ve opened the box on my Dragon Pz.III and man is there a lot of styrene in this kit.  Like most Dragon kits a lot of it is marked not for use so the spares box will be overflowing soon.  Cookie Sewell in a review of my kit marks the sprues as:

A 91 Pzkw III hull details and turret mounting
A 55x2 StuG III Ausf. G Wheels and torsion bars (4 mini-sprues connected)
B 17 Pzkw. III fenders, applique plates, smoke candle details
B 53 StuG III Road wheel arms and lower hull details
D 33 Pzkw III gun
G 52 Pzkw IV F - turret and hull details
G 15 StuG III OVM and light components
H 9 Smoke candle rack and smoke candles
J 8 Machine guns and muzzles
L 108 Magic Track - Left
K 34 Pzkw. III Ausf. J Initial Production engine deck details
15 Pzkw IV F Clear styrene
P 1 Pzkw. III Early Model hull pan with side doors
P 4 Clear styrene
Q 24 Pzkw. IV Early Model Cupola
R 108 Magic Track - Right
R 6 Clear styrene
S 41 Pzkw. III Early Model turret with 3.7 cm gun
T 4 Early model Pzkw. III drivers
U 1 Cupola base
V 61 Pzkw. III Early Model engine deck and details
X 6 Early model Pzkw. III idlers
Y 6x4 Early model Pzkw. III road wheels
Y 1 Early Pzkw. III turret shell
Z 4 Shock absorbers
MA 26 Etched brass
MB 2 Preformed steel wire
WC 4x2 German Generic Weapons - M

As for washing the sprues, unless the kit is a short run resin item I don’t bother.  As I build my kits get covered in my greasy fingerprints anyway so I save the wash until construction is complete and painting is about to commence.
