TD4438 - Roma is really looking good.  Nice work with all the PE and camo - looks tedious.  Like those red stripes

JACK - That is some really beautiful work on that CV3/33.  Excellent construction with that tiny fellow and the finish is very convincing.  I love it !!

ERIC - Fine jog thus far on your Semovente!  That barrel makes a big difference and looks great.  Have to tell you, I'm jealous of your groups GB badge

You still have time to get in, and since the build is smaller then normal, I will probably extend the deadline for the badge.

P.S.:to achive good result with stretched sprue:you cut more exact more possible your sprue,then glue it (I use super glue)...when glue is cured  take a lighter and a 5-6 cm of distance from aerial make same fast passages with flame on.........the sprue will tight like a violino chord.....it's more simply to do then to explane ,especially for me with my bad english!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm not entirely out yet. Still got my figure of Capt. Ugo Drago to deal with. Got it from Ultracast the other day. Detail = phenomenal. Painting instructions = non-existent.

Oh yeah, I use the "flame-tauting" technique, only I use either a cigarette or a just-extinguished match. 

I was talking more about stretching the sprue in the first place. I'm always snapping it, or not pulling it right and getting thick rods rather than thin, wire-like stretches. So I was pretty thrilled when I got it right the first time.

Sounds good i can finish the veltro with less worry and considering to get some tank/veiche in 1/72 to add here , will get something with the next supply order

Doogs - wow, your's went pretty quick on that final stretch to completion.  That dazzle camouflage is certainly unique and you managed to pull it off quite handsomely - super work!

According to Mollo's book on WW2 uniforms, the Italian flight suit consisted of a brown leather helmet and the suit depended on the season.  Winter one was lined and was a brownish olive-green material while the summer was made of white linen.  Both were manufactured as one and two-piece versions.  I've also seen photos where the helmet appears white, so that too was likely some light weight cloth material.

I've cobbled together the two figures I will be using for the vignette (adding a third one made it appear too crowded).  Both heads and three of the original hands were replaced.

Update...
Vallejo medium fleshtone sprayed on the faces. 

LifeColor's paint set for Italian Army uniforms - found the blue for the coveralls looked way too bright and lively, so toned it down with some brown and sprayed both figures.  Continuing with the airbrush, mixed a couple lighter shades and sprayed from atop, using the airbrush like it were a light source.

Vignette base: Before applying the celluclay, I drilled and inserted about a dozen brass rods spaced around the outer edge - the paper mache product has a tendency to lift up when drying (this should help anchor it down).   Then sprinkled some Woodland Scenics sand and made some track imprints with the tankette model.   Followed this with some medium and course ballast.

An update! I gave up spraying the camo and brushed on with various brushes. I tried to emulate the instructions, but that has never worked for me. I think it looks better from afar, but once the washes and weathering take place, I think it'll look better.

Eric - I think the spinach camou looks good.  I agree, with weathering and what not it will all tie in nicely.   Will this be a Tunisian based Semovente?

Got both faces painted this afternoon, about three hours work.  Straight flat black on the helmets for now to better gauge the skin tones.   Blowing them up though I can  see some required touch ups.

Eric - is it just the front and back license plates you need?  I don't have any ram's head nor those yellow triangle symbols.

Yes Jack, just the front and rear license plates. The triangles would have been cool, as well as the rams heads, but the jerry-cans are in place of where those triangles would have went. I think a set of those by Model Victoria would cost in the mid-teens. A little steep for a few decals.

I've got some left over from an Italeri Semovente.  Over 25 yrs old so tried dipping in water one of the German crosses.  Separated no problems and when I moved it around on the backing paper it did not break apart into pieces.

License plate number is 4473.  PM me a postal address and I'll send them on their way.

Eric, looks like Jack has you covered but just in case I have these I can send you.  Just let me know

I will need one set of the plates for a future build but there are 3 sets on here so just take your pick.  The ram heads I have no use for so they are yours if you like.  They are a bit larger then the Tamiya ones but were originally for an Italian M13/40 so they should work just fine.

finally painted last cockpit details and added belts, now just waiting paint to dry and will glue the fusewlage soon.

painted belts with humbrol 94 (sand i think) and before to dry i pointed it with leather humbrol and mixed to have a color variance

Got my decals today (thanks Rob), and laid down my gloss. Tomorrow, I will lay the decals and then gloss them.
