Hi gang. I learned a lot in the Blitzkrieg GB about French armor, so I decided to start up another GB. I propose an Italian-themed build with any Italian armor, plane or ship. Date to be determined based on interest. A badge will be created later on.

If you started this in May or if it ran longer I would be interested.  Am currently just starting in my own GB.  The Italian theme is very interesting and have some Italian armor that would work but have to decline for now.  Their are some really crazy camo jobs for these Italian vehicles.  Will be a great subject / GB and will check in at times.  Good luck with it Yes

Yay. That's one of the reasons I added ships. I knew this kit just came out in both 1/700 and 1/350 correct?

Eric, is this GB limited to Italian hardware only, or could something of french origin with italian markings qualify?

Fair enough. I was thinking of going with a Hanriot HD.1, a bipe manufactured in France but used almost exclusively by Italy in WWI. As I like this concept for a GB, I'll have to see what else I can come up with, so count me in, but I'm not sure with what just yet.

My pipeline's already getting pretty crowded...no way I could commit to something by May...but I will be watching this closely. Looks fun!

'morning Eric.....I saw the GB title in the aircraft forum first and got all excited....I thought your GB theme would be the Italian front (of which most of my stash would fit the bill).....however, I do like the theme direction that you've taken.....I've learned a lot in your current French themed GB.  Sorry to say that I don't have a single kit in the stash that fits but I'll be watching.....and one never knows what I may find 'on sale' in the days ahead....Big Smile

Cheers and Happy New Year

Yeah...too bad you can't push out to September or something. I've been itching to give one of PCM's 1/32 Italian kits a go.

Bsyamato, I try to keep the GB's short to spark more interest and motivation. If they drag on too long, people tend to forget or put them off. There is still almost a 6 month window.

Bob, I sort of considered the Italian Front too narrow of a scope, and I again flirted with a North African theme, but both of those were met with scant interest last time around. So, when I looked at the Semovente I tried to think of something that hadn't been done before. This too might be too narrow for most members. We'll see.

Real Red Baron, glad to have you.

Count me in too, still have to choose something from the stash.

Considering the GB title, does that mean the badge will consist of Dean Martin with a big pizza pie? lol

Jack

Not bad! Just need the Italian flag behind it. Gald to have you aboard.

Bsyamato, what would an Italian Gb be without a real Italian?

Waikong, Yes, that would be acceptable, just not the other way around. I want Italian hardware. Welcome. Who is the manufacturer of your kit?

Not sure of a start date, but would prefer it to be sometime in January. I'm busy the first week, so i thought maybe around the 15th?

Well...as my wife says around the kids, "fudge and crackers"!

Parents are in town for the holidays and we ran by Kings Hobby today. They have several of my childhood models at their place in Arizona, and they're in various states of disrepair, and my dad wanted to see what kind of glue to buy to fix them up. We walk in and...

30% off storewide.

My wife's told me I can't buy any more kits for a bit, so my dad says "you're not buying them".

And now...I'm in. Question is...which one?

Personally, the sooner the better. I've got one open slot on the bench. Was planning to pull an armor build in, but what the hey, right?

Alright. I'll be doing the Fiat G.55. It's currently soaking in the sink. Tigerman, I hope you don't mind if I make a small start on it - I'd rather try to bust into it while I still have the bit between my teeth. Otherwise I might get distracted by something shiny!

As for schemes...oh god yes this one:

I might want to change this to Italian Bird GB. LOL I'm okay with all the airplanes though. Wink

Italian Starfighter and Doogs, glad to have you both aboard. As far as to which fighter, that's a tough call. I kind of like that Centauro.
