 Gamera:

Vance, the Liore 45 is all kinds of cool. That's another reason my stash is out of control is that I'm getting more and more into more esoteric subjects like that over more mainstream kits like another P-51 or Bf-109.

Yes, I'm finding the same thing. As much as I love my "standard Luftwaffe" stuff, I'm finding these older Heller kits have a lot of really interesting stuff. I walked out of that shop with 4 French twin-engined machines, including the Liore. Something about the crazy layout of the tail. Apparently I'm a tail man...

I was doing some reading last night, and now I have an urge to track down....

Sorry Vance, I have to disagree on this one, that plane is so ugly it the Luftwaffe should shoot it down so no one has to look at it Stick out tongue

Ugly (and French,) but fascinating anyway. Given my preferance for unusual stuff, I need to look these up myself...

HAH, I don't have a problem!!! I can stop anytime I want to!!!!!

 Super AngryARRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH Super Angry

Actually I know what you're talking about - these two kits said the magic words... fifty percent off.....

And seriously, who could say "non" to this, for $8????

Embarrassed OK, probably all kinds of people, but I couldn't....

7,8 € Whistling not resisted for the leo-451

Stick out tongue Why am I not surprised you have one of these!!! I haven't tempted myself yet by dry-fitting it. How does it look??

because i have the breguet 693 too Embarrassed

the leo is not so bad but already signed to replace the clear parts with new termoformed , too tick and bad transparency. Standard work with oldies :D

these are copies from smer, actually is the only way to find these old heller moulds.

the bregut looks better engineed.

ps the leo 451 and the liore seems the same plane!! (leo = liore et olivier)

Well, as unattractive as I find the Amiot 143 the Liore 45 and Breguet 693 are really nice looking planes. I've always liked the lines of the Potez 631 too. Heart

Very likely - I was actually going to get to it very shortly, but have suddenly found myself swept up by a recent wave of "Intruder-mania"  Hmm

Tigerman just ran his Blitz Build late last year though so there was some overlap there.  I am currently working on a Bronco Hotchkiss H38 I didn't finish in time but I'm about 60% or so done now. Sad

And that right there is why I never took French (though I was closer than I thought!)

Eh, I kinda like the idea of an "All French" GB after this one. Maybe January through Bastille Day (July?)

And yes, I saw the Intruder Mania start up, and it is very tempting....

After viewing some photos of vehicles at the French Saumur armor museum,

http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=saumur+armor&w=all&s=int&referer_searched=1

I remembered that

a LOT of WWII German and American equipment was used by the French armed forces during and after WWII .

Ergo, a French GB is not limited to hard to find Heller kits.

Just a thought for those who can't find French aircraft kits.

We specialize in getting somewhere quickly; Manny always insisted on rapid movement during his time in the Wehrmacht and especially on leave in Austria.Beer

Still in with my Saab Viggen- just waiting for the other GB to kick off to start. Plus I'm still trying to finish other stuff off but things keep jumping up in my way. Sad

The fact that Vance "The Human Thread Derailer" Crozier is running this GB requires us to go off topic early and often! Just found a Spad XIII for that French GB. And I'm about to wrap up the Shelby so I can start on a Saab!

I have many books and my Lair smells of rich mahogany!!! Stay thirsty my fellow MOJOs!

I have an old Testors S.P.A.D. XIII but the decals are for an American Air Service version.

Sure would be nice if Revell re-released their :Deals Wheels Lucky Pierre kit.
