Love the George. She looks great. Ok after some frustrations with her, The forward Bridge/Superstructure of the Yamato is now complete sans Paint. The White you see is some Putty and some CA Frosting. More to come soon.....Cheers mark

I really fear PE parts and lately get 4/5 klits that included some  all aircrafts ... With my actual PE skill, buildeng a Yamato like Surfsup is doing ,probably my result could be a CAmato 

Painted today the hinomaru with maskin tape and red/brown mix. The four larger cut with compass cutter, the two in the tail was cut with a needle and circle shapes helper. Also used a plastic strip to help the pose

Bsyamato: If you don't have the talent for PE you have more than enough with aircraft my friend! Nice smooth paint, I want to see how she looks when you take off the masks for the hinomaru.

Paints coming on a treat on that 108, and the use of PE on the Yamato is simply amazing!

A quick update on my part:

Finished the BF109's camo, and have started to apply decals. This build is a series of firsts for me; first aircraft in Japanese colours, first attempt at a mottled camouflage, and first time use if Microset and Microsol (which I must say, are absolutly brilliant products!). Thanks for putting on this GB

There is a lot of really interesting, excellent work going on here. Theuns- that finish on the "George' is outstanding. The amount of detail on the Yamato is incredible too. The 108 and 109 are nice too.

I've finally cleared space to start my Tamiya 'Nanzan'. Here's what you start with. It looks to be a nice little kit. Options are for an overal orange aircraft, or IJN Green upper and Orange lower. I'm going for the former.

Well, its time I start my build anyway. I loaded up on the Aftermarket for Hasegawa's Ki-100. Take a look:

Got this kit off Ebay for a cheap price which included and Aires cockpit, albiet a poorly pagaged one. Lots of small resin parts are broke but I should be able to ca them back together. There's not a whole lot of schemes out there for the "Koh", or razorback version, so I decided to do the box scheme, plus I have a ton of photos of the real bird to help with the weathering. But, I will be ordering some Montex masks, as these old Hase decals suck azz. So those will arrive in due time. Sprues are already cleaned, now I just have to dive into the resin pit. Stay tuned.

Decided to add some rivets to the fuselage and wings using RB's riveter. I used 2 different sized wheels, the larger one for the vertical rivets.

Very nice work adding those rivets! I've never seen that tool before, may have to pick one up sometime.

Looks great Nathan! I love those rivets. May I ask what brand your rivet-maker is? I picked up one last week, it's the kinda cheap flimsy plastic Trumpeter one but it works.

RB riveter Gamera. It comes in a stainless PE fret, then you can chuck in a regular exacto. Comes with 4 different wheels. It works great. I also have the Trumpeter one as well. I do like it, and I like the different sizes it comes with. I also like how you can quickly change out the wheels, as opposed to this RB one you have to remove a self locking nut each time. The only beef with Trumpeter is the plastic handle and area where the wheel mounts is kinda clunky, and its real hard to see where you are going as you move the tool along. The solution is to carefully cut away the tip of plastic near the wheel, this helps alot with being able to watch the wheel as you go. It makes me want to rivet all my models. Just swipe some 600 grit paper back over the rivets to smooth them out  and it'll look great.

Now I can start on the cockpit. Nice work on the 108 Bsyamato. Tony good to get the fuselage closed up. From what I can see the cockpit looks real nicely detailed.

Tony, the masks for the wings was cut with the compass cutter, the ones in tail with a needle and a circle shape . Unfortunately the radius of tail hinomaru was too little for the compass :(

Searching for a solution about little circles
