As promised above, here are a few pictures of my 1:350 Yamato.
First a bit of my pride, the crane. I have to make the wiring yet, bur that will be possibly tonight.

And one from the stern. When I did see this picture on my PC screen, I found out that I have to order my 1:350 Japanese crew to clean the flight deck as it is very dusty...

The next one is the citadel. I have yet to make the guns, I'll start tonight with that. Before I can place them, the wooden deck must be placed first.
The pagoda, funnel, antenna and rear bridge are ready to be painted.

As final, a view from the bow. It gives an impression of the ship, and what it can become when finished...

In contrary to Surfsup, I'm making the model as in use. So the big 18" guns are not equal, a bit damaged and a crew. Also some things you can see on pictures of the real ship or scenes form the movie Otoko-tachi no Yamato (Yamato, Pacific battleship www.imdb.com/.../tt0451845)
To give an idea, my avatar is a bit as I have it in mind for the rear tower:

Cheers for now, I have a crew to get to work...
