Will be great to have you on board if you can make it Stik. Why not see how your other builds pain out and jump in later if you can. I know it can be very easy to over commit to GB's.

I would love to join this GB, but not sure what my current commitments will allow me to build. I have plenty of Flak/ADA/SAM/AAA in my stash to choose from. Something simple, and 1/35 of course...

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Nice pile of kits, jbell!

I have some bad news though. I'm going on a trip to the states, but I didn't knew the exact date untill today. It is September 1st. Now what's bad about a trip to the states? Well, it's no private trip, so I have very little free time. That  means that I can't do what I'd really like to do: Meet with some of you folks over there. To make things worse: I'm staying over there for 3 weeks with no time for anything, including modelling. So I can't start this GB at the same time as you guys. I'll try to keep updated on everyones progress though...

A nice selection, and that makes 2 ZSU's. I am not into Soviet armour, but I have always fancied doing one of those. So I will be watching the builds of those two very closely.

Welcome everyone! The Duck Hunter GB is officially open!  I'm co-hosting this with Bish to get some training to host some GB's in the future.  So here are the first entires!

Pyrman64:  1/35 FIM-92 Stinger, 1/35 M-1097

How the heck did I get added to this list?! Huh?  All I did was ask a question.....  Granted I will join this build, but I'm still in the TBD mode.

Sorry about that Pyrman, I got a little entry happy.  Embarrassed

Be happy to change it to TBD.  Just let me know what you decide on.  Again, sorry.

Thats a nice list! Is the "winter" 88 the kit I'm going to build for this GB?

i have a ton of ada: every german ww2 towed gun including the DRAGON winter 88mm (for $1 at a raffle), SA-2 (ground and trailer), 6, 9, 10 (both missile carriers and may get the radar vehicle), LAV, ZSU-23/4, VULCAN, AVENGER, SGT YORK, NIKE HERCULES. may get the JGSDF SPAA since i seem to be accumulating modern japanese stuff.

I think that was my fault fro welcoming you to the GB. But I know the feeling, that's how I got into building a monster for the twin Boom GB.

We can always remove you if you like. Smile

when  I finish with the SA-2 and time allows I would like to do either a Hawk or Rolland missile battery. Maybe try and come up with a diorama for it.

Say what?!Surprise

To quote Herb Morrison "Get this, Charlie! Get this, Charlie! It's.....terrible! Oh, my, get out of the way, please! ......all the folks agree that this is terrible, this is one of the worst catastrophes in the world. ......Oh, the humanity and all the......screaming around here. I told you, I can't even ...... Ah! It's–it's–it's–it's ... o–ohhh! I–I can't talk, ladies and gentlemen. Honest...... Ah! And everybody can hardly breathe and talk, and the screaming. ......I–I'm sorry. Honest: I–I can hardly breathe. I–I'm going to step inside..... Charlie, that's terrible. Ah, ah—I can't. I, listen, folks, I–I'm gonna have to stop for a minute because I've lost my voice. This is the worst thing I've ever witnessed."

I can only agree with you. Looks like I have to get to my LHS and buy some. I'm thinking along the lines of an Sd.Kfz. 251 "Drilling" and an American Halftrack with the AA "turret"...

Now to decide which Drilling. Both the AFV club and dragon are nice kits.

Greg: Yes to which one?

Eagle: This is my first diorama ever. I can see some difficulties with both summer and winter.

Summer dio: Getting the vegetation to look "right"...

Winter dio: I have no clue on how to make realistic snow...

Bish: I know it's shocking, but I'm trying to make up for it with my makeshift AA halftrack...

What do you guys think? Should I make a winter dio or a summer dio?

Have you not done either a winter or summer?  If not, do that one!

My LHS has a rather strange (but awesome) "reward" system for their customers. Everything you buy (except paints and tools) gets saved on your account. After every full year you get some of your money back (you basically get a gift voucher). The amount of money you get is calculated by taking all your purchases and multiplying them by a percentage that depends on how much you bought. I hope I can get HK's B-17 as a "gift" this way...

Wow!  What a great deal!
