No problem Shiv, life has a habit of doing that. That thing looks pretty big, but it doesn't look like the Black Stuff has had any adverse effects.

Unless of course that's meant to be the Momsen.

sorry that I haven't posted anything lately but work decided to put us on a 6 day week schedule. I have been following the post though and I have to say that everyones builds look amazing. Deffinatel raising the bar for me to do better on my builds.

I have got some work done on my SA-2 trailer. nothing is glued together yet so the missile, the rail it is sitting on and the trailer are just sitting there.

LOL yes I was drinking a beer while I was working

Tony, awesome job on the Mobelwagen. Love it. Ye, I think a little break from Flak Wagons is a good idea. Still plenty of time for 2 more.

By the way, are you still working on the Jag for the Gift GB.

Hi Folks,

I've finished my 1/48 Mobelwagen, which makes it three for me. Here are the pics. It's one of three AFV kits I plan to finish this weekend.

Next one up will be the Ostwind, but I need to finish off a few others first.

Cheers

Tony

I think I might just paint it in DAK colours and not put any markings on. A lot of the pics I have seen seem to show guns with nothing on them any way. maybe just use some kill rings round the barrel. But thanks for the offer.

if you can print them i can make them. none of my 88s are DAK either. the one i'm building is the original w/ith apanese instructions. too bad i swapped the halftrack for a RR gun.

Nice work their guys. Both those kits bring back memories.

I was looking over the Merit kit today. I had hoped their was markings for the DAK as I had fancied doing it in a desert scheme, but unfortunately they are not included.

hey greg

i have one of those in the stash. you going to do it with MERDC desert camo?

Neither......plain-jane olive green(drab).  I'm going to attempt a gate guard-type display with it on concrete pads.

ok i'm a tad anal. was at my ship workshop on saturday so i took my tamiya FLAK 36/37 i bought when it first came out in early '80s and never did much with. i can't paint there so it's build time. got home to a broke modem so was off line sat evening and sunday. not sure what i'm doing with it, not even sure if it;s going to be emplaced or on the trailers w/ or w/o crew.. not even sure what year as yet. may try some new paint techniques like priming with a brown as a pre shading. will start on gun today.

well may not get the 88 done for this but the TYPE 87 will also go toward japanese III. picked up another PLA apc in the sale bin. i must be the only guy in denver doing JGSDF and PLA stuff. i could do my own western pacific rim GB.

there is a finished GRILLE in armor. i will camo mine. indy track but looks like 2 pins per track block. so much for swearing off tracks.

now if hobbyboss would put out a PLA SPAA. just saw a pick and the turret looks very close to the JGSDF one. and cool digital camo.

I'll stick to OD as well then. Makes painting easier anyway (no masking for the engine required).

i think i painted mine OD but, if it isn't going to show i wouldn;t worry too much. the engine block on the tractor of my PLA  DF-21 is orange and i painted the engine block of my DANA red just to add some color and painted the engine compartment dirty white. after washed etal it will look military.

Thanks guys!

I have a question regarding the engine of my halftrack: What color is it supposed to be? The dragon instructions don't have any color callouts at all...
