Oh boy, does it does....basically you only use the bottom part of the hull, wheels and tracks, mostly everything else comes from this upgrade.
It costs a well spent $100 USD.
here is the photo of the back side of the box.
Looking forward to seeing that Hummel come together. I still want to get one of those but the kit choice is rather limited. I have not seen a Voyager set like that before, is that an all singing all dancing set.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Cant believe we are almost about to start.
Finally, got all my stuff. The armor kit I personally bought it in Blue Rdige after 4 hour drive...and now, I just received my PE kit, which comes wit a lot of details and resin part. It it will be a very complex built.
Yep, looking forward to this one. I am hoping to make a start at the end of August. Going to be another cracking GB.
Just five weeks to go. I am really looking forward to getting started on my little Italian tank.
Cheers, Aaron

We'll see, thats a big chunk trying to fit it in with other work. The toughest part is to find the right figures in the right uniforms in the right poses, I may have to take some creative liberties with them. Terry
RBaer: That is one nice haul there!
Terry: Wow, that's gonna be epic!

Jibber - Nice!
Yeah, we've been laying low. Lots of work going on. Aaron and I have to start planning surprises for this GB.

Scalefest was good to me, didn't score exactly what I was looking for, but close enough:
The M51 was in the stash, and I weaseled out of the show with Academy's M4A2/76 for a song, good since all I need is the turret. Add the rear hull plate and engine cover from any one of the several Italeri M4A1 hulls I have floating around and I'm golden. The actual Us designation of what the Isrealis called the "Super Sherman" is M4A1E8/76 Wet, supplied to France in fairly large numbers after WWII's end, to help re-build their Armored forces. Many were sold to Israel as the French began receiving M47s. I may even actually have the paint I need squirreled away somewhere.

Wayne - You got it!
Wow! Just two months and then we embark on the third FSM GB in two years! I don't know if you can tell, but I'm pretty excited. I haven't built a lot of armor, so it really is stepping out of my comfort zone. But I couldn't pass up the chance at building a model with you armor fanatics (fiends!).
Counting down the days until the German Matilda.
shivinigh I have a chance to go to a couple seminars with Mike Rinaldi on June 14 and 15. So here's to hoping I learn a few things about armour building. Kinda excited about going.

That should be interesting, Shiv.
Wiccan Warrior Sure! To make it a bit more interesting, I would probably paint it up in the three-tone camo scheme and THEN put the white camo paint on but heavily weathered :-)

[Admiring Starbuck's space fighter] Cassiopeia: It's a perfect machine! Born to dance amongst the stars! Starbuck: Yeah, it's bumping into them that has me worried.
WW: For the purposes of the GB, the Pakistani vehicle might be a better choice. BTRs were built in Ukraine while it was part of the Soviet Union. Does that work for you?
There are markings for two different UN Peacekeeping country's white-colored BTR-70's in Bosnia-Herzegovina during 1992. One Ukranian and one from Pakistan. One other set of markings is for a BTR-70 from the Ukranine for the same place during the IFOR mission in 1996.
Wiccan WarriorOh, it STARTS Aug. 4?! OK - I thought it ended Dec. 31 Well, that APC is in the bath right now! LOL

Her is my build. I thought I had lost the decals for it. That's why I was going to do it in Romanian or Mexican markings. But the UN markings for a Ukraine vehicle WERE in there. Would that count for the build?
We don't start until Aug. 1, so you've got time to locate it.
Thanks! I will get a photo of the kit and get started - just as soon as I dig the sucker out! LOL
Hi Wiccan,
You've been added to the OAGB!
Hello all! Tim, I would like to join in with a 1/35 Dragon BTR-70 in either Romanian or Mexican markings. Been a long while since I did a GB, even longer since I done any armour! Great builds all, BTW!!
This would be kinda a cool one...

it's going to be a beast. i have 1/350 boats with less PE. i will dedicate one modeling station just to this build. hopefully ogre gives us a brief how to on his shaded BTR-60. this thing will be uberly ( yes that is a new word as to be grammatically correct) documented. now to find some arab figures (and some PLA soldiers for all my PLA stuff)
Wayne that'll be a nice build, a lot of tubes and a lot of PE, who could ask for more.
Tim Kidwell It's gettin' real now.
It's gettin' real now.
PE arrived today. still haven't decided about AM tires. they usually seem like resources better spent elsewhere. looks like the ENTIRE rocket launcher assy is redone in PE. which means i will have a plastic one to add somewhere else, like a russian KZKT-537L 8x8 truck. i now have enough 122mm rockets. probably scratch build some wood ammo crates, open and closed, and have a friend resin cast some. could load them in the back of the URAL-4320 6X6.
this will be a LIBYAN rebels "unit". yesterday i made 2 sets of hyrocal big rocks and 2 sets of little rocks and have half a container of scree. i will do a variation of these 2 pics. planning on opening doors and hood. this has a really nice engine. not the same truck but this will be the pattern
