Hmm. The blue filter sounds like a good idea. I sprayed 74 on mine but it seems a bit too stark. Maybe the filter will tone it down a bit.  And I just got my detailer washes in the mail

Looks great Trey!  Looking at all the Ju-88s in here is making me want to pick one up to add to the stash

On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk

Trey that is awesome. The black wing really stands out. What color is the mottle?

Thanks TJ the mottle is model master RLM75 right out of the bottle and RLM 83 that I mixed myself. Then I sprayed a blue filter over the whole scheme.

TJ -- coming along beautifully! Those old Floquils do a wonderful job. That was one of the brands I became aware of in the modelling literature back in the late 70s, along with Polly S and Pactra, but they never showed up in Aus, down here it's Humbrol, by and large, with MM as the alternative. Enamels are giving way to Acrylics bigtime.

Mike thanks ! Finished it up ,will try to get some decent pics up soon ,work permitting

Doug I've seen the Owl Fug ant and was sooo tempted, but after hearing the trouble you had I'm glad I did'nt spend the coin on them! Great analogy of the Owl products its fitting!

TJ that paint job is looking tasty ! Looking forward to seeing more!

I hate to hear that... Floquil at one time made some fantastic paint for air brushing T-shirts and such. Well regardless... Great work!

Doug  getting to use some of my  "treasured" Floquil enamels that I have left. Loved these paints. Almost cried when I found out they were being discontinued. Slowly dwindling down the supply.

Trey... Yeah I hear you about Owl... They do make some impressive items, but as the general manager of one of the larger hobby shops I frequent said, They (Owl products) will cause great consternation and gnashing of teeth!) even for the most experienced among us. I had originally bought the Owl FuG 202 Lichtenstein radar array for my build, and after absolutely destroying the first 2 I tried (following their instructions exactly) I swept the entire kit into the trash, bound it with chain, incased it in a lead box and sprinkled with holy water then buried where it could never again menace mankind... ever again!!! LOLOL...

Great work my brother!

Moose thank you!

Schatten took about 3 hours including having to repaint one wing after an ugly a/b spit! Thanks for the compliment

TJ yea these 88's suck up the paint do'nt they! Looking forward to seeing some pics of your progress

Doug thank you kindly!

Decal session complete, resin props and hubs sorted. The Owl decals layed down very nicely but are very delicate, they do'nt like to be moved around a lot after they set down,

Started to spray 76 last night.  You don't realize how big that plane is until you try and spray it an overall one color.  Couldn't finish hopefully this weekend.  And it was my first time spraying enamels in a long while. A little different then my tamiya

I was able to get a little work done this weekend.   Nothing worthwhile for a pic. Canopy is masked and sprayed RLM 66. Hopefully tomorrow night will get the 76 on

So a plane in Hungarian (pre 1944 occupation) colors would be acceptable. Good deal.

AJD -- "Reich" translates as "Empire," so the Third Reich was a name for the entire sphere of Nazi influence.

Trey, Were Gonna try!, Man, you are really doing the pair justice!!! They are really going to be impressive when completed. I really do like the Glass Nose, gondola fully decked out Ju88, but an 88 is an 88!Saw one many years ago at a museum in the UK, and until you stand near it its hard to get a grip on its true size. Looking forward to the beginning of the paint process.

Doug

OH and AJD... Great score! I have one of the Pro 110s in stash and a 32nd Revell in stash, but not at that price!
