Alrighty, let's go for it. 

Greta to see this up and running. I will be building the Dragon A-0 kit. I plan on doing the aircraft Werner Sreib flew on one of the 291's first missions when he destroyed 5 Lancaster's. Of course, I will be doing it before rather than after the sortie.

Mike, are you looking for ideas for badges.

I will open the shrink rap today and get rolling on it. I am building the PM Me410 B-6/R-2 kit. Not sure of the details yet, but it will be OOB and perhaps a bit of scratch.

I am going to throw my hat in the ring here. The time line will allow me to do all my other stuff so i'm going to commit here but I will probably only start some time in the new year. I will be doing the Revell 1/48 Arado Ar 234 "Nachtigall"

Here's the start of my MPM Fw 189A-1. I finished the center pod, now onto the booms and wings. The kit comes with it's own PE and seems to go together pretty well. The kit also appears to have parts for the observation version, just not the decals or instructions. Notice the upward facing 20mm cannon through the greenhouse. I also added a little detail of cabling from the radar antenna to under the office floor.

Here's todays progress,

A little filling, a little more sanding, some little parts here and there, then attempt that insane paint scheme.

I managed to open my kit. That's it so far. I'll start Sunday as my P-51D is nearly done now.

Steve, that paint.  That's gonna be the hardest part of your build. Good luck, I can't wait to see it.

Alright gents, here we go!!

I actually opened my kit and got started on it today. So far I have managed to read through the cockpit sections and determine what I need to do. I pulled all the parts off the sprues and sanded them all down and checked for fit and then I went over them and removed all the instrumentation I needed to so the PE will go down nice and tight. I managed also to get all the cockpit pieces painted, most in RLM66 and a few others in flat black. I will keep posting as I go along.

Oh man will I be watching this one....

Nice work going, Steve.  Good luck on the upcoming camo job.  

As for my Bf 110G-4, I have the kit and barrels.  I went with the Master Model barrels. I have the Mk108. Still going to get the 20 mm barrels yet.  Also the Master Model Fug220 antenna will be installed.

Still trying to figure out with markings I want to got with.

Does anyone know if the PD decals are any good?  If so do they come with the camo diagrams.

I've had to stop the painting process until I get a tarp put up in the garage this weekend. I need a heated area now that winter has hit the Boise area. Plus I had to order RLM 66 which should be here Monday.

Model, You live in Boise? Dude, I live in Nampa !! Small world. And yes it's cold and snowy and I have to warm up my garage a few hours before I spend 15 min painting in it. Painting at 23 F just isn't that easy.

Sweet, jelliott523 also lives in Nampa as well. Do you go the IPMS meetings in Boise? If not, there's on this Saturday.

I am lucky I get to paint in my basement.  But getting cold here as well. I live in central Wisconsin.  I to am waiting on the rest of my paint to come.

Wisconsin is it? I'll bet you've been cold for a while.

Well, progress continues. I managed to complete the assembly of the cockpit. Adding in all the PE stuff was a learning process. I definitely need to invest in some CA accelerator. It went together with no real worries. I made sure to move slow and test fit everything a few times and the only issues I had were the instructions are a bit vague on exactly how they want certain pieces to be laid down in various areas. With a little patience I was able to get it all sorted out. I only knocked the control levers off 3 times, so yeah me!! 

So far I am happy with the fit of the pieces of this kit. I have had very little sanding to do and there is very very little flash on the small stuff but not really all that bad. The kit is pretty tight overall. The painting instructions in this kit are far too broad and could use a lot more detail on exactly where certain colors are to start and end. I found this challenging in the cockpit, mostly because this is the first German plane I have assembled. It is coming along nicely and I am pleased with it. 

In the next shot you can see the very tiny control levers that were challenging to install as they only have the thickness of the PE to stand on. 

And here we are getting ready to my wash with artist oils. Before and after shots...

And finally, the cockpit is in place and the fuselage halves are drying. As you can see by the photo, the cockpit fit the two fuselage halves very well. No complaints here.  

Gonna let it sit today and work on my "Hell-er-Bust" kit. Back later gents.
