Here's an update,

I completed the engine, next will be it's painting and detailing. All the exhaust pipes were somewhat involved. I also glued the fuse halves and wings together. I'll work on the seams first prior to attaching the wings and stabilizers.

It should be a pretty quick build from here.

Here's an update to the P-26. I finished the Pit and added the backrest I had removed for the PE set. I used tissue paper for it and a pad for the seat as well. I don't know if they had a seat pad as the only picture I can find of a P-26 interior is the one in the Smithsonian, which seems to be lacking one. Oh well, my plane has a seat pad.
The interior was painted aluminum as this was the proper color, although the kit calls for interior green.

Glad to hear it is healing up well . I will be "slowing down" at work a little (if one can call it that since I work for myself) around the end of the month for a week or so and will hopefully get some model time.

When one works on full size planes 10 hours a day and still have a long commute to get home the last thing I want to do is build models LOL

This one decided to try 3 times to cut my thumb off (almost succeeded) before it stooped against my pant leg. It.s tough to shut down everything with your thumb laid open with 3 massive cuts, 1 through the bone.

Anyway, I'm down to a band-aid again, so I can hold the tweezers.

Back to work.

An electric also doesn't stop cutting like nitro, it just keeps on going!

Servo reversing is what caused my Dynam Peaks with a 13" prop to take off after me, when I shut off the transmitter BEFORE I unplugged the battery. Imagine my surprise Surprise. I just started in the electric motor arena, and as you know, with a glow engine, you just shut it down, then turn off the transmitter to save the battery. Well, don't do that with an electric.

well this will slow me down a bit. I had part of my thumbnail removed because It grew back wrong after an RC airplane "incident" last December.

Yea, that's how we roll here on the southern tip of Africa, we write the dates like the Brits day/month/year  LOL.

Yeah, the way the rest of the world writes the date throws me off as well. I had to look at it twice to see that the GB started the15th.

I didn't realize this had already started. For some reason, I thought it didn't begin until after the first of the year.

Yeah, he's my buddy.

The kit looks like alot of fun. I'm really going to try to do a stellar job on it. Should take me all month (thats long for me).

Extra goodie Stick out tongue although the kit is pretty nicely detailed already.

Crazy, does that come standard with the Academy boxing? Or was the PE just and extra goodie someone through in there?

Ok here I go. The kit I bought came with PE, which I very rarely have. I will enjoy this build.

My building companion. Stays next to me and follows me wherever I go.

What do you think of these. Just a quick work up. No problem if you don't like them.

Actually I bought the Academy 1/48 Peashooter and start on it tomorrow.

Do you have a badge for the GB yet, or did I just miss it?
