Bish matt, I think that should be addressed to Doug. I am building an engine, he has just finished the E.

Right you are sir, too many posts to keep track of, I will say that your engine looks impressive, might have to build one someday.
Doug - your E is Sweet!!!

Yes sir, straight Black (MM Acrylic flat black), then drybrushed with MM metalizer Aluminium followed with oil washes of raw umber and a yellow tint (cant recall the name now) to add some depth. I am still toying with the Idea of finishing the rest of it and figuring some way to display it, only drawback is that the bottom is completely inaccurate as there are no heads or any othe detail for that matter. Maybe have it stitting in a crate?
I know what you mean about the posts Matt. Its really hard to keep track. Thanks for the info on the engine.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Matt, sorry about the issue with the legs... Hey, they were notoriously weak even on the real ones! Lol... The kit that I like to build ( 32nd Match box) are extremely weak, and I usually just go ahead and reinforce during the assy process. Shoot, I normally do any 109 or 190 at assy. They both have a odd stance. Good recovery with the Brassin.

A lot of great work being done (and shown) here! I'm hoping that my 109 will turn out as beautiful as the rest of these. I also have to admit, this being my first Luftwaffe aircraft, that I am now hooked and want to build several more! I'll be keeping my eye out for other GB's of these aircraft!
On the Bench: Lots of unfinished projects!
Looking good there John.
jelliot, don't worry, theres always a GB some where that accommodates German aircraft even if its not a specific one. And I am sure some one some where is thinking of the next German aircraft specific GB.
John (FM) Almost there, Lookin good!
Jelliot... Thats the way it works, one Luft. Build and we gotcha!!! Lol... (ask Greg) lol...

All part of the master plan
Hey guys, I have to apologize for my absence lately. I've been really busy for the last couple of days and had no time at all neither for modelling nor the forum. Things have calmed down though so I think I'll have some more free time from now on. I've got the intro post updated and I'll be catching up on everyone's progress in the next couple of days. Everything looks really fantastic so far though!
Good day guys. My back is better and I am able to get to work. I finally got some work done on my 109 today. I took the advice of using a needle in the pencil eraser for an applicator for the super glue. My cockpit still looks a shambles. I was going to not finish the PE in the cockpit but all the encouragement i received made me want to continue with my first time dealing with PE. I am to embarrassed to post pictures of the mess. So when I get the fuselage together. I will post pictures. Thank you all for the encouragement .

Bish... LOLOLOL... Now that's funny! LOLOL...
Jelliot -- as Bish says, there's always another GB for Luft subjects! If you fancy a nightfighter project, you're more than welcome over at Reich Defenders V: Hunters of the Dark, running through till the end of the year! (Okay, I'm plugging my own GB....!)
M/TB379 (who is one solid session away from finished that dratted -D...)
http://worldinminiature.blogspot.com/
Here's the -D with a batch of jobs done, most notably the canopy unmasked and touched up, the propeller mounted and the landing gear under her. The mass balances are on and painted too:
Jobs remaining -- oil stains on the underside in oil wash -- that takes a few minutes, same for the dust and carbon pigment work. The only major job is to rig the antenna wire. I almost didn't fit the mast -- the decal sheet shows this plane without a mast, and I've found photos of early 109s without the radio mast, but by March 1939 when this plane was in action in these markings it's a fair bet it had been fitted -- or a reasonable speculation.
With those tasks done I'll be happy to call this one finished. The next pics you see should be the hi-res gallery shots.

Great job Mike...we sometimes over look the early beginings for the mass produced versions, thanks for the reminder!
STFD637 Is it too late to jump in here? I was looking at a 109T-0 and a 2 seater!
Matt: Man I hate to hear about the landing gear blues but think you'll be happier with that Eduard set up!! Good progress on the RLM 65 as well!!
John; That is some awesome work in 72nd scale! I envy your patience...............and your eyesight! lol
jubya70: I'm glad to hear your back is doing better. Being down or sick is no way to gain modeling time really because nine times out of ten when I'm sick the last thing I feel like doing is modeling. lol . Post some pics of your progress. We're all here to help bud!
Mike: I just flat out love that D model 109 you are doing! You're giving me inspiration to build my C model!!

Thanks Doug and Mustang! Well, the pigment work is done, the oil streaks are done and the mast end of the antenna wire is fixed. I've tried three time to fix the other end but it won't have it... I'll try again tomorrow, and hopefully be posting the gallery pics soon after. I can't say the Hopbbycraft kit has been a fun build, but it has been a challenge. I'm thinking of ordering a set of -E guns from Quickboost, it turns out HC forgot to provide barrels for the cowl guns... Just as they forgot the formation lights and the pitot. Academy tooled a pitot plus a choice of alternate exhaust panels for their edition, but still no cowl guns. I'll post a pic with the extra details at a later date. I wrote to QB and suggested a detail set for the D, but they didn't reply.
I'm so looking forward to doing the Hasegawas, especially the G-6 in Hartmann's markings in 1:32!
Cheers, M/TB379
TBolt379 - Thanks for the offer. I'll have to see where I am with a couple of other GB's first, and I may just do that.

Hey Thunderbolt,
I have the Hobbycraft Buchon on the bench right now, and I believe it came with the cowl gun barrels, which are certainly not used. If you want them, let me know, and I'll check tonight to make sure they are, in fact, included, and I can get them to you. I put them on my S-199, and after drilling out the barrels, they looked the part.

Mike, that looks sweet. Deffo got to do one of those.
Rigidrider Bish... LOLOLOL... Now that's funny! LOLOL...
Question for the 109 gurus. Is the upper wing camouflage on fritz and early gustav a hard edge or soft. Thanks John
Johnny, it's a soft edge but a very subtle one so not to much over spray.
Thanks Bis . That's what I thought just wanted confirmation
tempestjohnny Question for the 109 gurus. Is the upper wing camouflage on fritz and early gustav a hard edge or soft. Thanks John
Check your refs. It varies BIG TIME!! Eastern front birds seemed to have a real soft edge on the camo lines. Not just the wings but fuselage as well.
