Thanks Guys :)

changed mind about tail and fill last section with structures, in the picture also the arranged blade on the x-acto to cut stripes and stretched sprues perpendicular at the fuselage. Helps these detailing steps

started also the rudders inner structures and added other details

some oxigen (?) cans

rebuilded the throtthels IP group after found better referencies

these more addings extend the wip but think i'll able to finish for the GB :)

At the next!

Absolutely superb work bsyamato!

The Betty was a scary plane, especially the fact that they could carry torpedoes and had just an ungodly range.

Lol, I use yellow 'Blue' Tack too! I've got to remember your system there if I ever decide to cut any canopies open.

Thanks Gamera :) the correct word was near the italian "bombe incendiarie"

Ah, thanks!!! Now that I think about it the original term is French I believe so it came out almost the same translated into Italian and English.

The seats and area around the side gunner's windows look great.

Looks like a nice kit there- and again you're working your magic on the interior!

I think the English term you're looking for is 'incendiary' though 'fire bomb' works just as well!

bsyamato

Great selection of not so common Imperial Japanese subjects. I vote for the Jake. If it's 1/48, Lone Star makes a resin cockpit for it. I have one in 1/72 that got for $1 at a show. I'm sitting back to see if a vac canopy and resin set comes out.

Well, anyone else have opinions on what you'd like to see Bsyamato start next???

Sounds good, I just picked the 'Pete' since the box looked neat with all Japanese writing.

Wow, that's a nice haul Bsyamato! I'm not sure, they all look cool to me. If you force me to pick I do find the bottom box on the second photo to be interesting- is that a Mitsubishi F1M Type 0 'Pete'?

The Ki-27 is finally completed. Exhaust stains were done with the airbrush and enhanced with MMP weathering powders.

[View:]

The kit included resin weighed tires. The spats got some MMP earth powder since they operated on unpaved strips.

[View:]

Most Ki-27 pilots removed the sliding canopy for better visibility and this particular Nate had no radio so no mast or aerial wire was used. The pilot only had lap belts as a restraint. Eduard lap belts were used.

[View:]

The prop was painted in Humbrol silver and the back side of the blades got Floquil red brown. The tip stripes were hand painted with Testor's red and a 18/0 brush.

[View:]

[View:]

That boxy thing on top of the wing is actually a wing camera that was mounted on some Nates. I drilled out the lens part and used a drop of clear parts cement for the lens.

[View:]

[View:]

The Ki-27 was  rated as a very effective fighter in the very early war years and was eventually retired by 1940 by better and more modern aircrafts. The twin 7.7 guns were located on the cockpit floor and shot out between the bottom cylinders synchronized thru the propeller blades as in WW1 aircraft.

More progress on my Nate. I did a light wash of Burnt Umber Oil paint and thinner to dirty up the recessed details. They operated off unpaved strips so a lot of dust and dirt was kicked up. The walkway was masked and sprayed with Floquil Engine Black.

I used some Burnt Umber oil paint to pick up some spots to streak out some stains.

Just need to paint the wheels, add a couple of small parts, do some chipping here and there and she will be done.
