B_One,
Thanks so much. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't intimidated by the small size at first (like, how do you even drill holes for pins in a space as small a size as that?). But as with my other projects, I basically forced myself to find a way to do it by just jumping ahead and cutting the flaps off. Cut now, worry later. LOL.
Allan,
You made headway there, my friend. I loved working on a kit until the wee hours before. That was my quiet time. But my recurring back injury has all but stopped me from doing that these days. I'm now mostly 1-2 hours a day. Sigh.
No bucks, no Buck Rogers
To B_one fixer,
Thank you for the compliment, this is worth more than gold sir.

Allan, the 737 is looking great, I don't think I have the skills yet to drop the flaps on this small a scale yet.
Tosh, Great work on the B-17
Stayed up till the wee hours of the morning, I didn't get much done dur to the intricate nature of PE, but what I did get done was a huge milestone for me at the very least.
.
Toshi To greentracker, The very fine detail that you do makes your chopper look real. What a great job you've done so far.

Fine work picking out the details, Allan. That'll sure stand out.
To my fellow forum members,
I most recently ran out of MM zinc chromate yellow and a MM gloss coat. I just received my paints late yesterday, hence I started my B-17 build once again. This section is the radio compartment, it's designated as the middle. How Hope you enjoy my photos.
To Allan,
Your skills in modification is excellent not to mention in that your entire build is awesome.
Ken,
Yeah, no thanks. LOL.
Anyway, more progress pics:

Thanks Allan, Yea I'm getting anxious
BTW - I have a couple of your big flies in my apartment. I'll send them home for you.
I managed to locate a 1/144 Revell 737 -800. One of my clients who's airshow J-3 I am currently rebuilding is a senior capitan on them and I am having custom decals made to reprisent "his" plane.
Now I just need to actually pay for the model I found LOL

I'lI'll put you down as soon as I get to my computer. If I forget please remind me as I'm pretty busy this week.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Worked on the landing gear assembly. Heres one of the main landing gears from the box. I found the gear doors too thick:
Sanded them down to more acceptable thickness: Added some wires to make them look a tid bit busy:

Some more pics:
The engine brace assembly left a noticeable recess/step on the wing.
I added Tamiya PlaPaper to make it flush: After filling and sanding: Added the leading edges: Drilled a hole on the tail section and lightly scribed details: ] Then it was off to the paint shop to check for imperfections. Here she is after wet sanding with 1200 grit sandpaper.

Real nice job on the landing lights allan!
Jelliott,
Yes, its the 1/200 Hasegawa kit.
Looking good allan! Is this the Hasegawa Kit in 1/200?
On the Bench: Lots of unfinished projects!
Some updates on my 737. Im actually further down the completion road but slow internet at home means uploading pics to Photobucket is a pic by pic affair. Oh well.
Upgrades on the wing lights. I shaved off a portion of the wings where the lights would sit:
Drilled out holes where the "lights" would normally be: Painted the area black, and the holes silver: Superglued in a nice block of clear plastic: Motortooled close to flush: Then sanded and polished smooth: More later...

To my fellow Group Build forum members,
I ran out of zinc chromate yellow, I ordered some from eBay. It should arrive on Thursday. I purchased two bottles of Model Master zinc chromate yellow. I'll stop by everyday to see progress in this Boeing Group Build.
I'll be messing around with some PE while I wait for my paints.
Thank you,
Thank you bish, just trying to keep up with my fine motor skills.
Steve, good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly.
