given the large number of countries in the coalition i figured Baghdad Bob, as he was known in the US, would be most appropriate.

Yeah, I need to swing by the LHS for either a set of Italeri Jerry Cans, or some angle strip styrene to make up the improvised can racks some Iraqi BMPs carried.

I have just ordered my tracks. I was going to get some Fruils, but saw someone mention sword metal links and saying how nice they were. So I am going to try those and saved myself a fiver in the process. Just got a couple of resin sets to get from Accurate Armour.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Well I start 3 weeks off of work (officially) at midnite on Saturday. With my normal days off thrown in I have actually already begun and it works out to just under four weeks off, so I will get something going after August begins here...
Won't be me, will probably start on mine in Oct with any luck. But looking forward to some great builds.
Well, somewhere in the world right now it is August 1st and this GB is now on...lets see who is first with work to show...
B_one, your swap is noted and done on the roster....
Greg, I am a bit anxious myself to get this rolling... but it's a bit under 34 hours to go here in California..
Hey stick can you change my second entry the A-10 to a 1/48 ESCI Tornado, I am gonna go all Brit on this one.
And I just got my kit and associated stuff yesterday, .........right on time. .
Champing at the bit, this will be the first GB I ever started with everyone on the first day!
Ok, under 30 hours or so to go for those west of the international date line.
Thank you, Wayne.
Please do! My attempts with "paint" were quite stillborn.
stikpusher Who can come up with a badge for us?
Who can come up with a badge for us?
i can do one. need the gfx practice
I usually just stare at the one in the stash. It is a pretty Kit.
I'm excited. The Nimrod kit has a LOT of parts. I'll post sprue shots soon.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I hope that you enjoy the upcoming show here ;)
monitoring . wish I could commit.
OK gentlemen, the roster is updated with the latest kit selections and participants.
Stik, could you put me down for a Tamiya 1/48th F-117A? I think the kit decals should qualify, if not let me know.
I'm not a big fan of this aircraft, but when I think of Gulf War, the first thing that comes to mind is watching the crazy footage from the on board cameras.
Never built anything like this and am a bit skittish, but I'm sure y'all will help me when needed.
that would be a 1/72 SCUD by Toxso
Stik,
Could you put me down for a Hobby Boss 1/72 A-7E?
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
OK guys, one week from today we will kick this off. I dug my BMP out of the stash box where it has sat for the past several years...
lew, thanks for the compliment, but this is Stik's GB.
Bish,
Put me down for a 1/72 Hobby Boss A-7E. It will be in VA-46 markings.
Nice! That's a good kit, and all that stuff will make it even better!
I got hold of my Challenger kit today. Still got some AM to get for it, I have just ordered an Eduard PE set and going to get some Fruil tracks and a couple of update sets from Accurate Armour next month and i'll be all set.
It's very tempting to join this build, cuz it would give me an excuse to build a USAF M60A3 Patton.....but I haven't the time.
For those interested, here's a nice list of equipment used during the Gulf War by the participants. en.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_Gulf_War_military_equipment

Go have a look on the thread you posted about that issue ;)
Stick, could you please change my entry to Land Rover Series III (109"/LWB). The Piranha I wanted to enter with doesn't come with Desert Shield/ Storm markings as it is depicted on the box art but only with UN and European camouflage colors .
