It sure is. It's one of revell's ancient releases. It gets re-issued from time to time though.

Rob I hear you mate! I have had a stupid autaumatic link that comes up to a photo buy site from PB and you cant close it without closing PB   Arggg!

Sometimes it takes a few attempts to load pix :-(

Anyway that MiL is looking so good, I really like the shading.

Mr. B-1, that is a very interesting kit, I am quite interested to see how it builds up. Is it on of Revell's older kits?

Well, I have some progress pics. The rest will have to wait as I'm getting frustrated by PB. Anyway, I installed the engine intakes, primed the whole fuselage, layed down the Russian Green, post shaded the green, masked off for the Russian sky blue and got the sky blue done, AND, got a coat of Future down.

I can't post pics ATM. I'll try later. The whole of PB is not responding!!!

I have more progress on the Mi-2, but, Photobucket is being its usual self and locking up on me every few seconds so, not sure if I'm going to be able to post. MTF.

You as so right Rob, I still have no idea how I am going to make the cabin roof once the fuse is joined up....

Looks good Theuns. It's gonna be like building a 'ship in a bottle'!

I had a little time so I did some work on the 53.

The effect looks quite rough now, but the cabin will be like a dark cave so I am not to worried about it.

I still have allot of stuff to build for the cabin, the roof section is going to be vert tricky as I can nly do it once the fuse is joined and access will be limited...

Rob you are moving on that Mil! Looking very good sofar. I know getting thay "outch eyes" blue correct is a pain but I think you nailed it.

I rather like that badge you got there, it gives the "feel" of "fling wing" nicely.

I hope all will like it, what say you guys?

As for my MH 53, I painted a few bits and bobs, will post a pic later today.

So, I got started on the Mi-2. Not going to take long. Low part count, very small and one colour. I will still do a pre/post shade process. Here's the kit:

Very basic interior. The real challenge is that peculiar blue colour the Russians use for their interiors. Hand mixed a colour that best matches samples from photos on the internet.

Clear parts installation and interior paint

Upper bulkhead installation with decal

I realized late that I didn't take a pic of the finished interior before buttoning it up! Embarrassed I painted all the seats khaki, controls were painted and lightly washed to bring the tone down a bit. Anyway, attached both sides and installed the clear front piece. NICE fit. Very well engineered Hobby Boss kit thus far. That's it for now. Hopefully get back to more tomorrow, but, busy weekend on the go.

Great, I got you down for that one.

We have been having a severe cold spell here in SA and with temps so cold that I cant even do my work at the airfield I have not been modling at all!

The fingers are just to dumb in the cold :-(

Changing my plan. Instead of the Hind A I'm going to build an Italeri 1/72 CH-146 Griffon in a civil scheme. All of my supplies and kits will be stored while we wait to close on our new home mid-November, so it will be a Thanksgiving start for me.

That is a nice one Tony, I am interested to see how it goes together.

I built the HB 1/72 MiL 24 and that was nicely detailed.

I will put you on the roster.

I haven't done a helo for a very long time, probably the early eighties, but I'll support this GB with one Theuns. Nice idea.

It'll be a Hobby Boss 1/72 Westland Lynx Mk 88 in German colours.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I'll be building the Hasgawa 1-72 Mi-24 Hind A. I have to correct the incorrect kit cockpit and hopefully find an exotic paint scheme to do other than plain ole camo. Just sold my house and looking for my new one, so building will be off and on at first. may not even start before September.

someone build this:

I started on an Italeri 1/72 MH 53 e some time ago but mostly with some scratch building the side walls as there is very little detail in the kit.

I glued thin strips of plastic to the sidewalls to look like the internal formers. Then I glued painted fabric between those to look like the padding between the formers.

The seats are also made from flat plastic sheet and strips.

I will not do more work on it till the start date ;-)
