Awesome!  Thanks, Jack!  That's what it took, Ihad to go to a regular laptop PC to get the right pop-up menu, would not work on the iPad.

Yes, that was done through the computer, and I think not all browsers give that option when right clicking.  No clue about iPad, maybe someone else can answer that? Do you get any option pop up when you tap the photo on your iPad?

Jack, thanks much for the explanation.  My problem is, I don’t see that menu pop up, with “Copy image location.”  You said to right click?  So, that means you’re using a computer?  Because I am doing this from an iPad...how would I emulate a right-click?

A_A, are you using this forums's tool to post your pictures?

When you open up the reply box, click the image insert icon (mountain image with dot):

Another box opens up called Edit image, now where it says Source, that is where you paste the code for your picture and then click Ok:

To access the code for your photo, all I did was open the largest image you have, and right click on it and a menu pops up - click 'Copy Image Location' - that instantly saves your source code for the current image:

It does work:

A_A when I click on your links, I'm asked to either sign in or create an account, which I don't care to do. Would really like to see your photos; are you also going to post them via a hosting site that would download them to the forum?

Made some progress on the Swedish "S" tank. The roadwheels, sprokets, and lower hull pieces have been built. I've also started building some of the sub-assemblies: the commanders coupla; loaders hatch; exhaust, etc. One thing I have noticed is the very small parts that in some cases could've been molded together, but instead are molded separately. It's not a real problem, just more time consuming and care needs to be taken when removing them from spue trees or cleaning them up. 

I think I am going to spray it overall with a dark green base coat. I have not decided exactly how I am going to paint the splinter camoflage pattern just yet (?). It appears that the only items not in the kit are the picket fence brackets at the leading edge of the tank. 

I will post another update with progress photos soon....

As you can see below the detail is very good, but the mold ejection pin marks on the back side of the parts are pretty bad.

Got a little more done today. Mostly on the upper inside. I put some lead wires in there to add a little to it then asked myself why I wasted my time since nobody would ever see it once I put it together. Anyway I don't have any idea when I'll have more time with Thanksgiving coming up. It will be sometime after then before I can get back on this.

One thing. I plan to build is a little different because of all the painting and weathering I'll have to do on the insides so I guess I'll build the main parts, paint them then put them together and weather then start on the outside.

Well all the parts have their preliminary paintings and I did the tracks now for some putting together, weathering and touch ups.

I suppose the texture of the anti-slip coating really depends on the vehicle you're looking at.

The Merkava at the German tank museum for example just has what looks like a layer of straight up fine gravel added to most surfaces.

Hmmm sounds interesting KC, thanks for posting the videos. And nice work there on the suspension system and road wheels.

There are two different systems.

Look forward to seeing more KC. That anti slip sounds interesting, i take it its a stick on item if its intended for certain vehicles.

Dragon's ridiculous price increases the last couple of years, combined with them taking more and more of their goodies out of the boxes (PE, Magic Tracks, clear parts with dials printed on) really keeps me from buying any of their kits nowadays.

Luckily, new Brands like Meng, Takom and especially Rye Field are slowly taking over with kits of similar, if not better quality at more reasonable prices.

Cliff, looks like I'll have to get me one of those Bundeswehr tanker sets then 

 

Most of Dragons kits now are at silly prices £60 plus and a lot of them are just re-boxings of older kits. When you look at what those comanies you mention are producing and at much better prices, i think Dragon are going to kill themselves off at this rate. I had been planning on getting a Dragon panther D and both versions of the Tiger II, but now i will be getting the meng kits.

I am not a fan myself but yes, would be nice to have the choice. And they have not lowered the price either and peronally i think the DS tracks should be cheaper than Fruils.

But fortunaly a lot of the other companies are doing indy link tracks and i seem to be moving away from Dragon.

Clemens: Yeah it does seem like a weird choice. Still they weren't too much work. You should pick up the MiniArt set, they do great work- some of the best plastic figures I've seen. They're almost as nice as resin figures. Mine are assembled, not sure when I'll get around to painting them. 

Bish: Gee whiz. I don't personally mind the DS tracks but I would be nice to have different stock numbers so you know what you're getting.

Thanks guys! Tiger, they're the DS tracks that come with the kit. DS is a new style of 'rubber band' tracks Dragon is putting in a lot of their new stuff. It can be cemented with normal cement and takes paint much better. 

I cut up the teeth sprue to make it easier to clean them up. I'm thinking now I should check the box or the trash to make sure I didn't miss some of them. 

 

And they are also replacing the magic Tracks is other kits with DS tracks yet it has the same kit number so you don't know what your getting until you open the box.
