Like Eagle, it's my favorite part.

I have no idea how we could do it, but it would make it really fun if you had to ship your finished kit the sender. But, I have no idea how you could ship one of these and have it live through the trip.

We have a last minute entry that tosses the numbers around. We have decided that one of us will be drawn from a list and that person will get two kits so as to get everyone both giving and receiving.

And the winner is ModelCrazy. Looks like we can expect twice as much fun from Steve.

I got my shopping done. I hope they find it interesting, fun and appropriate to their wishes .

You know I’ve ALMOST bought an Airfix kit again and again. Now that I have to shop for one i’m almost certain to buy something for myself...no i mean tell my wife to buy it for me for Christmas haha.  I’ve got a trip planned to the LHS for our local club Christmas party on the 17th which should still give me time to get it there before the holiday. Going to be fun.

Just a quick question - if a order the gift online do I send it to the giftee, or do I first ship it to myself?

Seems that most will have it sent directly to the giftee.  Cuts out the middleman and retains the anonimity of the sender.....keeps the giftee wondering

Exactly what GH said. It's easier anyway, one shipping cost.

Well, this is a revolting development......put in the order,paid, confirmed.  Half hour later get an email, cancelled and refunded the card payment.  No explanation.  So much for Hobbymodels in the future.

Reordered from another supplier with a slight change in contents.

That stinks.  I have ordered twice in the past from that company and both times received the same response. Glad you got everything worked out in the end.

I'm always concerned if they will like my choice, especially if the wish leaves a wide margin to choose from (kinda like my wish lists do), or my curve balls 

I feel the same way, but hopefully it would be something on their wish list, or something they normally wouldn't get for themselves, but in their realm.

And curve balls and sliders can come across the plate as easy as a fast ball down the middle.

If it's a subject I know I'll get them something I either have and know it's good or something I want to get at some point. I'll usually check reviews on something I'm not familiar with, Good reviews..... It's theirs.

Well, I think my Santa delivered today.  My daughter brought in the mail and announced that ”Daddy got another model“. This resulted in a sharp look from my wife.  I told her I didn’t have anything on order.  Shes heard that one before.....

My wife took the liberty of wrapping it up before my prying eyes could get a look.  So to my Santa, Thanks!
