I have to say that regarding the front page of finished kits, and that they were gifts in a genre e.g. not specifically picked by the modelers... that's a really impressive set of builds! (Self back patting asside :p )

Thanks,

John

I'm done. Three fun builds. THANK YOU to both my secret Santas. You guys picked some great picks. One of my wish lists were any 1/72 Airfix except WW2 fighters, so I received the Airfix Blenheim Yes. The other list was any 1/72 modern airfraft so I received both the Revell MiG 29 and the Revell Eurofighter. So number 3 is now done.

Shorter?

LOL, well what I do know is that that silvering is driving me crazy  .

I suppose I can work with it some more, They were still drying.

I always find it odd that when you start applying decals it makes the kit look shorter. Looks good, Steve.

OK guys, getting close to the end now.

I sprayed gloss and added the topside decals. Now just get the bottom done, then on to the finish.

Steve, the subtle tonal difference in the color looks very good. I think the Eurofighter is a very cool AC. Glad to see it coming along.

I am almost finished with mine, just trying to fit everything in with my move to Europe.

Wha? Move to Europe. That's like moving across the street, right? You should have plenty of time for building kits. Confused

Just kidding. You may get an extention for that.

What I love is all the builds still ongoing! This GB has been a year-long gift. Awesome builds guys.

How is everyone doing on the remaining builds? It's been quiet for awhile and I wanted to make sure we all got them in before Thanksgiving.

MC & BK---  nice work on those birds.

Finally got back on the Vindicator.  Getting the pits in is a fight, my fault but getting there.  Once I get the fuselage closed up the rest should go fairly fast

As promised, here are the completed pics of the F-102A Case XX. This was a nice kit and really did not have any issues aside from fat fingers and small parts and places. I am pleased with how it came out. I know you can't really tell in the pics, but the camo is a tri-color upper camo with two greens. From the pics of Vietnam era AC that I looked at, the theater fading created greens that greyed and blended together. I think I pulled that off in the colors I chose. I hope you like the pics. I am looking forward to seeing everyone else finish up as well. We still have a few months.

What a cool looking aircraft. I think you made the camouflage fade look very true to life. Great job!

I love the Eurofighter, but I can't seem to locate a 48th scale for a decent price. They always seem over priced. I say that as I look at my B-17 with about $200 in add ons waiting to be started and I roll my eyes. Confused

Thanks BK,

I'm with you, after looking through MiG-29 images I was surprised to find that almost all of them look in great shape, especially the ones of the Polish and Russian air Forces Huh?. In fact, I feel I was a little heavy on it but I was trying out, or perfecting rather, some new techniques. The Eurofighter will be about the same.

Not that I am at all surprised, but you did a fantastic job on the Mig, Steve. Beautiful job from start to finish. I think you nailed the weathering very well. I've never seen any Migs that were beat up. Well done. I'll update the front page.
