What clear flat are you going to use?

Oh, yeah; it's a pain when the fit isn't very precise.  Still--you did a good job getting it sorted.

Looks better and better, Nick!  Outstanding!

Ben:  I've updated the finish-photo.  Thanks for participating in the GB, and making the diorama shot available.  It looks very realistic in the setting.

I wouldn’t mind having an airbrush which sprayed a wider pattern, as well; but the Talon is a good airbrush and has good quality.  Maybe I’ll get better at airbrushing with more practice...

Anyways, good job with the tank, crown! [If only I could paint models just as well...:) ]

Also, good job with the figures in the Kubelwagen, Drums. I’ll just leave it at I’m not too good with painting figures... Big Smile

More great work, Nick!  The Tiger is outstanding!

That is fabulous, Ben.  And I will be happy to replace the finish photo with one of these.  Do you have a preference?

Thanks for your insights on the airbrush, Eric.  It's always good to gather information.

Eric. Im glad you like the talon and for your input.

I installed the real heavy tracks , they need some finessing.

I've got a Talon. It's a perfectly good all purpose brush - I use the .5 nozzle. It's easy enough to clean and is very tough - don't have to change needles & nozzles very often and they're cheap when you do. I don't give it high marks for detail work, but most airbrushing is a matter of experience and preference. There are really good modelers out there that use single action brushes and get them to work just fine. I don't think many plastic modelers that need the kind of detail that you see when people spray fabrics or use lacquers on helmets, or use them for graphics. Those gents have a real eye. I don't. Eric

A model boat is much cheaper than a real one and won't sink with you in it.

I agree,..... nice tiger Nick!

I really like the aircraft too, especially the invasion stripes.

Eric's Panther is a jem as well, great winter weathering.

This was one of my favorite GB's. All of your builds ROCK!

I finally completed the diorama portion of the 1/16 kubelwagen. Since it was part  of this GB I hope you don't mind if I share it here (?). Just a couple photos:

If you want, you can update my completed photo with one of these (?).

Your thoughts...

v/r,

Ben

That looks fantastic, Nick.  Excellent work with the soft-edge camouflage!  It's beautiful!

KJV:  I looked that type of airbrush.  They are supposed to be really good at spraying very fine lines, something lacking in the Paasche H kind.
