Taking this chance to say great work everyone been watching. Hope I'm in again for a while; never know at the moment after logging out.

Good to "see" you again, Est!  I thought they had the log in problem solved?  Hope it won't trouble you any more.

Very nice, tj.  You packed a lot of detail into the cockpit.  Looks like assembly is going well.

Nope, you're not the only one with the problem.  Chrome still isn't working on my home laptop, but it does work on my office computer at work.  Go figure?

At least, I've managed to get your finished build photos posted, working with both MS and Chrome.

Thanks for being part of the WWII GB's, Mark.  Your're work has been a pleasure to see.  I appreciate your participation, and we'll see you in '45!

Sorry it took so long getting back to you, Mark.  There seem to be log-in problems with the Forums, and I couldn't sign back in using Chrome.  I got back in using MSN.

There's currently a thread going on about it at Forum Feedback & Error Reporting.

Now, to the point:  these are fantastic looking planes!  Out in natural light, it's hard to tell that they're models at all!  Wonderful job!

Do you have a preference for the finish-photos?

Whew, I thought I was the only one with this problem. I couldn't login with Chrome either. I logged in with Microsoft edge. However, Microsoft edge would not let me get the pic address to post in my reply, so I had to have both browers running and toggle between Chrome and Edge to first copy the image address then paste it into the photo insertion box. With all those pics It was truly a pain Angry

Any how, as for the favorites, I've narrowed it down for the P47 to either the 7th or last pic. As for the F6, the 3rd, 6th or 8th would work. Sorry I can't narrow it down any further than that. It was a fun build and learned alot about NMF, I'll apply to future builds. Thanks for running this and all the "Wordls at War" builds. See you in '45. Big Smile

Wow, a lot of great armor projects and modelling shown here. I'm really going to have to get back into that.

Anyway, the decals are on the P47 and waiting for the last of the details to be added then we'll call it done...

Meanwhile here are the undersides of both planes all completed...

First the Hellcat...

and now the Thunderbolt...

Tomorrow, I will take some beauty shots of the two outside in the sun where that Bolt will really gleam. Big Smile

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of all that armor, Paul.

Do you have a preference for the finish-photo?

Thanks for being part of the GB.  Your work is always impressive and dramatic.

Entering the home stretch for the Hellcat: A little weathering and a Satin finish (using a home brew of Acrylics):

The canopy is cleaned up and the underwings stores added. Here is how I add the radio antenna line. It's not elegant but it works for me:

Meanwhile decaling is proceeding apace on the "Bolt":

Well, done, Paul.  Nicely arranged action scene.  That ground-level view is particularly effective; very realistic!

Again, very good work, minitanker.  Do you paint them with a brush or spray?

Finally finished USS Iowa yesterday.  This photo shows her in her mid-summer 1944 camouflage measure.

I followed Tamiya's painting layout included with the kit; hopefully they were right.  I steared clear of any after-market parts, except for replacing the SK radar with PE from WEM and Kingfisher floatplanes from Trumpeter.
