Chad, that Ligntning looks really sharp - beautiful work!
regards,

Those British Lightnings don't look like they should be able to fly, but boy do they!
You model looks awesome.
Mark aka Tomcat
On the workbench: Monogram 1/24 '69 Pontiac GTO and a Monogram 1/67 (box scale) B-26 Invader
Thanks guys! It’s definitely one strange looking bird.

God, Family, Models...
At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
Quick update on the Jet Provost. Decals are on, bits and bobs are painted, time for a little light weathering then I’m calling this one done.
Bish, since the Provost is wrapping up I’d like to submit my third entry for the GB. I’m going to build their wonderful Bf 109E-7 Trop with the well known black 8 Jagdgeschwader 27 livery!
Hello, I am new to the forum and returning to the hobby after a long absence. I have checked my stash and I have one Airfix model. After checking this thread, I don't think It has been done, although I could have missed it. Anyway, It is a 1/72nd scale lunar module that I would like to contribute if that is OK with the powers that be. Thanks.
Mark, no, we don't have one of those and will be very nice to have a space subject alongside all these aircraft. Glad to have you on board for what i am guessing is your first GB here. Look forward to seeing the build.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Front page updated.
Chad, really looking forward to that 109 and seeing that scheme. I just noticed i didn't have the Provost on the roster. Can you confirm the scale please.
Thanks Bish! The scale is 1/72.
Cheers.
TJ, good to see you back up and running, will get it on the roster.
A build update: The A-26 is getting closer to paint. A little more work on some seams and then join the wings to the fuselage. This kit is old. I think the copyright date is 1971. This kit is an MPC rebox. There's pretty much no interior so I opted to paint the clear parts black on the inside. I had to notch the engines to align them correctly in the cowlings. If I followed the instructions, the engines would have installed up-side-down! I polished most of the rivet detail and panel lines off. I'll be posing the finished model in flight.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
I am with you on the rivets. On some aircraft they look good and on some they really need to be sanded off. Looking forward to seeing the final results.
5, that wil be fun to watch. Just got you down for Mustang x5 and can modify that as you complete them.

Agreed on the awesome work!
As far as the Lightning goes, it was Britain's answer to the problem of putting big enough engines on a brick to make it fly, like the F-4 Phantom.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Hello friends! I’m calling this one done. Such a little gem. If your feeling frustrated and need a simple yet satisfying build to get the modeling juices flowing again, this is the right kit for you! Bish, I think the first pic would be nice for the front page. Thank you my friend.
Cute little fella
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

looks stunning that little red jet and the lighting too.
Nick.
Lovely looking build there Chad, nice to see one of those. Thanks for shareing it and i'll update the roster later.
Two real nice builds, Mopar. I really like the Jet Provost. I guess because it's red. I'm partial to almost anything red.
I have another Clipper on the paint bench today. This one will be early WWII US Navy. I've laid down the light grey underside and the blue-grey topside. After the paint has a couple of days to cure, I'll hit it with some Pledge so I can decal it and do a little weathering. Should look pretty neat when it's done.
Chad, nice and quick finish on the little jet Provost. Great job on the gloss red and canopy masking.
Mark, I really like your work on the bus. The Omnibus isn't something you see everyday.
On Ed's bench, ???
Hi, Sorry - been OoO for some time.Major dental surgery - you do not want to hear more about that
Eagle90 Hey everyone...great work here! I must say they all are very cool, but the Omnibus is neat. Different. I like it! I haven't forgotten about my part 2 of this GB. The Nimrod is off the shelf and on the bench! ....
