My artwork ability is limited to crooked lines with a straightedge......Here's where Cody would be nice to have back.

Got to find one of the B-24's, that thing is just flat out nice.

Drifter: I've got more than enough interest by now to make this a go. I was hoping for at least a half-dozen people to jump in, we're at maybe three times that at least so far.

I have a lot on my plate right now, but if it runs long enough I will jump in. I have been wanting to build one of these "fun" vehicles for quite some time.

Steve: Thanks! But thank Gregbale too, his post here really pointed out just how much interest there was. Thanks Greg!!!

And some awesome egg ships there!

Dutchman: I'm thinking six months since most of these kits are pretty simple. If there's enough interest of course we could go up to a full year.

I am planning on the u-boat for this GB. Not thought about how to display it. The usual nice wooden base seems a bit to sensible.

I wounder if the kit comes with the fish.

Those ships ones are already out. But Meng seems to be giving out a steady flow of new subjects at the minute.

Gamera,

If you deceide to kick off this idea into a GB I'm in!! This is the kit I have to bring to the table.

this is the first one i built and MENG learned from it. future tow cables are separate parts and not molded onto the hull like this one. not even annoying but takes a steady hand to paint them. i superglued the track sag using foam earplugs as wedges. i have another i will do as i rattle can primed this in the garage at 95F and the paint dried before hitting the model. nice cast effect for a 1/35 but a bit much for this so an afternoon of thinner and Q-tips smoothed thiNgs out.

TO REPEAT FOR EVERYONE. THE FIT IS TIGHT so built as much as you can before painting, mask off all axles and hull suspension holes, etc or you will be sanding and scraping to make the fit. that was lots of fun with the side skirts on the PZ-IIIN and i should have known better.

i have LEXINGTON and the Uboat. you could get some clear plastic sprue and mount it just above a seabed base.

I have the Lex and will be getting the u-boat. You gave me an idea of the sub stocking the carrier, wrong theaters but might as well distort the facts as well as the subjects.

Thanks for the info on the tigger. I have that one as well.

I've waited for years for some manufacturer to do a 'real scale' version of a fire-fighting Oshkosh...but this is the closest to appear. Fortuitously, this GB makes the perfect venue for it!
