I too was sorry to hear about Lewbud. I have been a lurker on this site for many years but only recently started posting so I never interacted with him but from I have read he seemed like a great guy.

A lot of great work on this GB, I need to be more consistent on posting comments about all these fantastic builds.

I was able to get my Razorback done this last month but only now getting around to posting some pics. I knocked the front windscreen off and had to reset it, after looking at it closer I will need to go back and clean that up a bit. The decals were okay considering the were Academy

I'm very sad to hear about Lewbud's passing.  His weekend madness gb drew me back to this site after a long hiatus.  I remember Lewbud from when I was more active on this site some 10 years ago.

Anyway, glad you all are picking up the slack and carrying on in his honor.

I have been working on the Bregeut 693 but it has been a lot of putty, sand, repeat.  This Heller kit is pretty rough but I am plugging away.

Bish, the Stuka looks great, a bit shiny though!

TJ, very nice finish on the Sea Hawk, very clean lines, a pretty scheme and fancied up with the Suez stripes makes for an attractive aircraft.

The Vengeance is slowly coming together. It has been filled, sanded, repeated before priming and preshading. As you can see, I can't airbrush a straight line...

Then I got to do the underside in grey

There now follows a crossover comment with the "movie one-liners" thread -

"I have got to get me one of these!" (Will Smith, Independence day).

That's a lovely job and a smashing little Seahawk, Smile

Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Thanks for taking this over John

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Sea Hawk looks awesome!

All - when complete your kit can you let me know which pic you want for the front page and mention the manufacture, scale, make and model.  You can do this in the regular posting and I'll monitor/pick it up.

keavdog, this picture of the Panther for the front page:

 .

Monogram 1/48 F9F-2 Panther. OOB.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

I have completed my Sea Hawk

810 NAS HMS Albion 1956

It's a really nice kit. But...the seat is a bit too high so canopy can't be closed. Decals are very translucent.

Been a few weeks but here is an update on the Stuka. Got it all painte with Xtracolor getting pretty use to doing this scheme now.

Then decals. Stencils and crosses are from the kit. Codes and swastika's from the decal stash and the unit badge i printed myself. I like that Airfix included decals for the dive brakes.

I have started the weathering so should have this wrapped up soon.

Started working on the last of the internal details for the fuselage on the Frog.  Got the avionics bays all painted up and mostly finished...just have a couple of equipment panels that need to get painted and installed.  Then its on to making a little styrene box to put behind the holes for the foot steps.  I'm going to fill the box with Milliput, which I'll then carve out to simulate the canvas "bags" that line the insides of the steps.

Got some work done on the Sea Hawk

Looks great! Are the stripes decals or painted?

Decals. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try them or not. But I figured I'd try and if they looked bad I would paint them on. They came out pretty good

How sad, and too young.  I sent an email to Elizabeth Nash asking if the GB could be retitled to something like the Larry Wolfe Memorial Close Air Support Group Build.

Great idea!
