Joe: Thanks! Never thought of black construction paper!

John: Nice F6F! I'm kinda stuck on the horns of a dilema. I kinda like the light panel lines and I kinda hate it. So it's been stuck in the box since then. I need to pull it out and take some photos. Maybe you guys can offer advice on should I go with it or wipe it off and start over with black.

Gamera

Joe: Thanks! Never thought of black construction paper!

Pretty easy to bend and form and if it's not out in the open it doesn't look bad at all. I ran onto the trick when I was a kid and materials were scarce.

Well.....................I had some time yesterday so I spent a little over an hour prepping and applying the clear coat on this puppy.

No polishing or wet sanding yet and this is the turnout. To say that I am very pleased with this outcome would simply be a gross understatement.

Beautifully done and nice color. I wanted a Rupp roadster in that color.

Joe: Looks awesome! One of the guys at our church owns a blue '60s Mustang that's close to the same colour just not the metallic effect.

Artwork for a badge/build logo.

Folks are any of you in touch with John, (jeaton01). He has offered to do the artwork for the build logo, but I have not been able to get in touch with him. The PM system doesn't seem to be working and my next idea is to put something in the main discussion thread.

That is a good looking color alright. Tell him he'd better hang on to it as the prices of these things are skyrocketing.

This is where I am on the Toshi Corsair. I need to wipe off a lot more of the light tan panel line wash. Still not sure I like it or not.

And I forgot that I'm building the Tamiya P-38 for Rigidrider. I posted some photos over in Steve's Lockheed build that I'm crossposting to and forgot about here. The kit is mostly together, I'm trying to figure out the best way to paint the gear bays now.

Gamera both models are looking great. I am very interested in seeing how the Corsair comes out.

John has been working on the design of the badge and what he has sent me looks fantastic. Will say a bit more soon.

Thank you all for your patience.

Here's what I have worked up so far.  I hope it's acceptable but if there are other suggestions I am open to that.  Three sizes here, if accepted you can right click and download them to put them on your usual photo host.

Heya Cliff!!! Good progress on the Corsair bud!! This is just my opinion but I'm thinking after you get most of the residual wiped away then maybe a light coat of a medium dark wash will probably bring 'er home.

John: You did it again ol' buddy. Love the GB badge!!

I finally got around to installing the PE grill into place and adding the fog light system. I still have to touch the fog light chrome up but will wait until I've got everything on the car so I don't risk messing the touch ups up with excessive handling.

Got the PE seatbelts for the P-38 for Rigid Rider. A bit slow going since the Tamiya kit is super detailed and I'm having to take a step, let it dry, move on to the next step and then let that dry, etc. etc etc.

Sorry having gotten back to Toshi's Corsair yet.

G'day mates. It's been a few weeks since my last visit. Jill was having some health issues and then we went away on a holiday. Anyway, I am about to start on the Corsair for Toshi, I hope it works out a lot better than my Otaki Mk. VIII Spitfire that I did for the 100 year RAAF centenary GB!

The P38 is looking very sweet Gamera.

I love the grill on that Mustang Joe.

John, many, many thanks for your badge design. It's very appropriate.

That frickin' pit is looking GREAT Cliff!!!

Robert: I've got that same kit in the stash. Can't wait to see you get started on this.
