Bish, that is very kind of you, I'll be sure to let you know. This is a great place to be.
Regards
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Welcome aboard guys. I'll be getting the roster updated at the weekend.
Tony, if you have issues with the decals let me know. I have 2 of those kits in the stash and i have AM decals for both. If yours are no good i can send you both my sets over.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
I'd like to enter a 1/72 Hasegawa P-47 please Bish. If the decals are ok it will be 'Little Chief' of the 56th F.G., 8th Air Force. There's potentially more entries to come but my new policy is to get on top of one before I add any more.
Cheers
Count me in. I've got a 1/48 scale kit of a P-51D by ICM, depicting an aircraft from the 4th Fighter Group.
If the assembly kit comes with the armement, then I can go that route. I have more decal options with the D. But I did find an interest J to build. Decisions, decisions.
Glad to have you on board Scott. I am trying to get another B-24D myself and i would prefer the Hase kits, but they are not cheap. I have built one of the assembly ships and have anotehr in the stash, and they are different. They do include everything you need to build an armed bomber so would just need decals if you wanted to take that option.
Sign me up if I can ever find, and afford a B-24 to build. It looks like only the 1/72 Hasagawa and Minicraft Js are the only ones on the market. The D thats available is an assebmly ship, which might be interesting.
Roster updated guys. Glad to have you all on board.
Well of course I'm in, a 1/48 Monogram B-24 most likely.

So I went rummaging through the closet looking for an F-82 kit to use for this group build. I opened the box to find a partially assembled model AND the Starfighter decals I ordered this morning. In the plastic bag is another F-82 kit I think I was going to use to build Tom Reilly's XP-82 prototype.
OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
Bish Sounds god guys. An F-82 would be different. I'll get you on the list.

Well, I'm committed to this group build. I just ordered 8th Air Force F-82 decals for the Monogram kit. Fortunately I have two or three kits in the stash.
Bish,
Here's hoping I am in shape to join this GB come January. If everything goes okay, I've got a 1/48th Monogram B-24J on hand to enter.
On the other hand, I've been waiting for the Revell 1/32nd Late Model P-51D. It's released, but so far hasn't made it across the pond. In case it makes it soon after this GB starts, I'll be doing it instead!

I looked over their website and there doesn't appear to be anything special scheduled for tomorrow. The museum has an ongoing series, "Target for Today" that willl be showing at 2:00 pm. "Target for Today" happens every Thursday at 2:00 pm.
I am thinking about a Thunderbolt or an F-82 for this group build.

Nice choice. Based at Molseworth where the first 8th AAf mission took off from in 1942 and along with Alconbury the only WW2 8th bases in England still used by the USAF.
You're welcome Nick. I recently finished it on Audiable myself. I was going to mark my G as "Thunderbird"
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Steve. I just ordered it on Kindle, I remember that cover thankyou, cant wait to get started on it.
Nick.
Bish, your group builds are always about such great topics. This GB might be a little too tough to resist. I don't have a subject or a plan yet but i think I am working on it. The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth is just under 300 miles north of me near Pooler, GA. There is a B-47 parked outside near the front entrance to the museum. This is their B-17 inside of the museum: https://www.mightyeighth.org/
Nice choice Nick.
You should check out the book
Glad to have you on board as always Steve, i'll wait till the weekend and uopdate the roster in one hit.
Bish, you know I always make room or your GB's. In fact I bought a 1/72 Airfix B-17G when you first anounced that you wanted to do an GB to honor the mighty 8th.
So he!! yeah I'm in mate.
Mopar Madness Bian you are really exceeding expectations when it comes to group builds! I'm booked up on group builds next year but I might fit this one in. I will definitely let you know if I want to commit.

I'm sure you can squeeze one in
I'm thinking of building a Mustang or two in the near future, so I might join in.
