Yep, nice looking bird. I love the Connie

Looks good AA!

Marine: Ohhhhhhh cool! That's something you don't see everyday.

I started on the P-38 this weekend. It's a Tamiya kit all right- beautiful fit and the instruction sheet is perfect. Super nice change of pace!

I really like that EC-121. I have a little Supper Connie that I may just be tempted with after I finish the Ventura. Then again, I also have a P-38, Lodestar, F-16 etc.

Here's a progress update. The clear resin has set. Here is how it looks. It's very clear. THe surface will need a loght sand and polish to be completely flush with the fuselage. I'm very pleased so far.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I really like that idea Tony. It looks like it worked on your A380 and now the Ventura Yes

I think I might give it a big go myself  Big Smile

Okay, the F-16 is done!  Final reveal pics here.  Done in the kit-supplied markings of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing out of Hill AFB, Utah:

Fully armed with extra fuel tanks, 4 Sidewinder missiles, and 2 GBU-10 laser-guided bombs -

Okay the cockpit is done. Fantastic detail, you could add PE but I'm not sure why you'd want to:

The cockpit has been entered into the central fuselage:

The central fuselage from below:

Tamiya gives you three steel ball bearings for the nose weight- one here and one for each boom. Bit odd- I've never seen that feature before. Course you don't get a detailed gun bay like the vintage Monogram kit. I'm sure there's a resin aftermarket replacement set by now.

Bottom of the central fuselage closed up. I went ahead and cemented it. It does need a little putty but not very much!

Thanks guys!

And no worries Nick.

Just confused as to why Steve can't see them. No issues there Steve, not that much in the photos- just proof that I have started the kit.

A_A. Realistic F-16. with all that ordance it makes tricky to pick up the model.

Tony. Looking good, each time I see a ventura,I cant help not thinking about JAWS.

I gave this T-33 a base coat of A/K ADC grey still working out the bugs with this stuff, dosent want to behave like the others.

Nick: She looks terrific- great work! Esp love the half red/ half anti-glare black wingtanks!

Not much to post here. The Tamiya P-38 is beautifully engineered. Everything fits like a glove. Only thing is there are so many steps in the construction it's taking me forever. Working on the landing gear bays for the booms now. They're about ten parts a piece. I'll try to get some photos up when they're done or close to done.
