So it begins!!
So far I've I've glued some parts and done some seam work. I plan to paint the interior sometime this week. I am still thinking if I should pick up the Cobra Co.'s resin blades for it.

HomagerMan I cut the resin parts from the block either with a clip or with a knife; when the block is really big I use a saw. Of course once they are off the block I use needle files to remove the excess resin. To glue them you'll need cyanoacrylic glue, I suggest in gel so you can place the part before the glue dries, and believe me the liquid CA dries veeery fast.

balta1 looks good so far.
You wanted to know about the grey I used: It's Vallejo 907 Pale Greyblue, washed with Humbrol 32 "don't-remeber-the-name" and drybrushed with Vallejo's 907 again.

You can count me in. I have started on MRC's 1/35 UH-1C which I am building as the first 174th AHC bird to have the famous Flying Tiger Sharks Teeth painted on. I've got the M/R pylon assy completed as well as most of the crew comartment. Having to do a bit of shaving and triming to get everything to fit right without any major gaps. Any suggestions on where I can post some pictures? Never had anything to show before.

I used neutral gray FS 36270 on mine. It looks fine to me.

Hope someone can help me. I'm looking for 2 1/32 scale M60 Machine Guns for my Huey. Are they easy to scratch built? If so, How? Or is the some company out there that has the for sale??

Thanks in advance

I don't know about 1/32 but in 1/35 you should be able to find plenty. I would say to look at figures from VLS as I'm sure they have something. You might still have to modify it but it will beat making one from scratch.

Well...I did have to go to work today but I managed to get some building time in. Here's the cockpit all done.

I did pick up the Cobra Co.'s rotor blades but I still don't know if I should use them. I hope I can get the Huey finished within the next 2 weeks.

Well... it's been a long time time since I've been here but it feels good to be back!! I haven't been around due to spending too much time at work and some things at home. Now that I'm back it's time to get back into the GB's I have left unfinished.
Here's an update on my Huey, I just have to future it and put some decals on it and it's done!!

Lee,
If I ain't mistaken you can make them out of styrene rod and sheet. I think Cobra Co. makes these types of seats in a back date set.

Balta: your huey looks real good

I haven't forgotten - I've been bad and allowed other projects take precedent.

Well here she is after the future, decals, future and dullcoat routine. I should be completely done by the end of this week.

Looking very good, balta. Nice solid build. Will you be doing any weathering?

Thx AH1Wsnake....I'm still not sure if I'll do any weathering. At this point I'll be happy just to have done. I still have to tint the top windows which is may main concern now as I have never done it before. I still need to have a couple more models under my belt before I try some good exterior weathering.

For the upper tinted windows, I recommend purchasing a bottle of Tamiya 'clear green' if you haven't already. Just apply it right onto the clear styrene, works great. I see from your photos that you have some pretty good exterior detail. If you're not up for weathering, maybe just a simple wash would help bring that out. Good luck with it either way, and post some finished product pics!

Balta.....that looks marvelous. Really. You are doing a "c" mod right?
Did you hand paint "easy Rider" ? It came out just like the pictures.
I agree with AH1Wsnake about appling a wash to bring out the detail.

Keep up the excellant work

wibhi2,
I'm thinking about doing the wash but I will have to put another gloss coat on.

All the markings are the decals that came with the kits. Thx.
