nice cockpit!!!! (for a young'n, or old fool like me either one) I'm concentrating on cockpits right now trying to get better at it... yours' is a dandy!

I never thought about that. I guess the digital camera is a good essential tool for all serious modelers.
Your cockpit’s are probably better then mind lol. I’m been trying to get better at building and painting cockpits too. Still a long way though – but I’m getting there, I suppose.Smile [:)]

I really do hope this bird turns out great. And I’ll keep progress pictures up. I’ve been busy too, so much school work. It's killing me. Dead [xx(]

I have stopped building my Sturmpanzer IV for now. Its all about a dio. Gotta finish it in 2 weeks!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! hurry hurry hurry!!!!!!! but it shouldnt matter with the generaous finishing date.

Well friday brings me the joy of Weekend homework (sarcasm) German project, english, World history, and Geometry!Disapprove [V]Angry [:(!]Angry [:(!]
As you can tell, I am not happy about it. With this homework I will have limited time to work on my dio, And I cant work on it at all nex weekend because of a Civl War reenactmentBig Smile [:D]Propeller [8-]Propeller [8-]Propeller [8-]Yeah!! [yeah]

Its my OTHER favorite hobby, you can tell by my name.
well away I go.
oh, and progress on my dio... I have it divided into 3 sections. In the middle is a road and on the two sides there is grass and trees etc. I have on side of the road covered and formed with celluclay, and ballast and kitty litter for some rocks. When it dries I will giv it a wash.

sorry for the long post. didnt mean to bore you!

well right now its just a styro foam block. I am waiting for the flex paste (for a creek) to dry and then paint it. The setting will be fall, I havent determined the year though. It will be based around the Italeri Demag D7 w/ flak 38 I recently built. No pics yet. I should get some done tonight. NO HW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the cap idea, I never thought of doing that. It pissed me off though because i spent 4 dollars on that bottle of paint and I can't even use it now. My progress is 0% too because I've had to paint the stupid inside 3 times.
Hope your dio turns out good for the contest! Any specifics on it, pics yet? Setting?

Hey scer, I had the same prob with Tamiya and MM spray cans so I asked one of the workers at the hooby store. He said that the paint is manufactured and mixed in one area of the world, while the spray cans are made and mixed far away resulting in 2 different colors. They also mix in different stuff like thinner.
Tamiya's spray cans are the best in my opinion with working with both. NEVER go by the color of the cap or that little color sample on the rack, they are usually way off. Not sure what other colors are out there for dark yellow, I'll check If I go to the hobby store this weekend.
If you are having troubles with touching some areas with the bottle of Dark yellow, stop using the bottle. Spray the spray can paint into the top of the can or a disposable cup, then dip your paint brush in the cup or cap and it will work perfectly.
Hope every thing turns out ok.

My progress= 0% Ive done nothing since my last post. I have been more concerned with A dio I am doing for a contest on the 2nd of October. well, until next time...

Darn you Tamiya Paint Co.!
I bought the spray dark yellow and the bottle dark yellow and... they're different colors! This is the third time I've had to repaint the inside! It's annoying! If I screw up, I have to totally paint the whole thing again... GAH!

indeed a very nice cockpit sean,

update on the enzo : sorry again for the lack of pictures, but without a digicam i can borrow, i cant do much. tatking 35MM and scanning is just too expensive, so oh well. anyway, i have so far gotten most of the interior done, the engine is complete, and i have the body panels ready for primer ( read: im procrastinating) and ive suceeded in melting the chassis by trying to strip the paint with thinner which ate it all up like acid. the new sprue is coming from tamiya in a few weeks time and i reckon ill resume building then. until then, im kinda busy with the singapore open (ultimate frisbee tournament) and school.

happy modelling !

For me it’s easier to take a picture and to keep the text short and sweet (my commentary can be really boring). I wasn’t trying to strut out my brushes or tools or any item on my workbench/desk, if that was your impression. I just took a simple snap shot, which was it. I wasn’t trying to parade.

I got around $400-500 over teh summer for helpin my dad paint our house. already blew around $100 on gettin model stuff from online. now I find more stuff I'd like. wouldn't bother me, cept i been planin on gettina new airbrush and compressor. if i pay for the gun, and accoutrements, and he pays for the compressor, we should make it.

unfortunately, im goin to a show this comin weekend in Rochester, so I dont know how my wallet 'll fare. maybe snow'll start fallin soon.....
