Chris, I've gotten my little handles all installed. They need a little more cleaning up, but it's coming. I'm going to replace the kit heat shields for the exhaust pipes with a pair fabricated from copper foil. Then I've got to sand down a piece of 3/32 tube for the (lord knows what they are) tubes on the sides of the hull. Once that's done then I can start on the turret-gun interrupter. This is quite the project!

Banged Head [banghead]Censored [censored]Banged Head [banghead]Censored [censored]Banged Head [banghead]Censored [censored]Banged Head [banghead]Censored [censored] mixed up 2/3 yellow and 1/3 OD to spray the panhard.... WELL THE YELLOW WAS APPARENTLY NO FREAKING GOOD because it never really mixed with the OD and came out in splintery spatters all over the panhard..... turned out to be a bad bottle, got another one and this time the mixture tested and sprayed fine, but i'm still stripping the Censored [censored] messed up paint job..... will hopefully be done in a couple weeks......

Just an FYI.. Spotted the elusive and overpriced MB Models B1 resin kit last week at Venture Hobbies. For $90.00USD - I walked away.

Also, see this comparison of the latest Hotchkisses (Hotchki??) around...

Seen the Trump side-side to the Heller the other day, I'll not toss my Heller out anytime soon.

Well, Chris I've got the hull about 90% complete now. I just started fabricating the inter-rupter. Things are coming right along now. I'm still thinking about how to do the radio antenna mount and a few other hull details then it's on to the turret Tongue [:P]. MIne needs a little work, I'll need to add the lifting hooks and replace the vision flap on the cupola. Otherwise the turret is a straight build. It's been quite a job so far, but I'm about ready to start thinking about paint. Smile [:)]

Smile [:)]Well folks, I now have the hull of my B1bis basically finished. I'll be moving on to the turret. I've had to fall back on my old music teacher's advice some what. He always said "Even if you make a mistake keep going, otherwise the song will never get finished." Keeping that in mind I'm moving on mistakes and all. As this is my first resin and white metal kit, I'll use it for the learning curve and someday buy another and do it better. I hope to have some pix up in the next couple of weeks so you folks can check it out, blemishes and all.Big Smile [:D] Thanks to T.Geoff I think I've figured out how to get a decent digital photo with my cheap camera. Chris was trying to get his put together so the turret would turn, that seems too daunting a task for me so I'll just be glueing the turret on when I get to that.Clown [:o)]

Geoff, I'm sorry to say that, but ther is something wrong with the gun. You glued the two triangular pieces on the exterior, whereas they must be glued on the interior. These pieces are only used for correctly positionning the gun in the kit, they don't really exist on the 1/1 Panhard...

Geoff, here the correct positionnig:

You can repare it easily, but you will certainly had to re paint the turret...

You can put 3 little holes on each side of the Reibel machine gun, too.

thanks Model35.... I was able to get the turret off and the gun removed easier than I thought..... hopefully it'll turn out okay.... is that 3 holes on EACH side of the MG or just the inner side?
