Glad to see this all straightened out. I'm still building the Monogram 1/72 F-82F Twin Mustang in the markings of the 52AWG's CO bird circa 1948.

I'm trying to design a badge for our GB but I can't find any good pics to work with. I'm looking for a nightfighter shot kinda like the B-1B head-on view in my B-1 badge below but there doesn't seem to be any out there with enough contrast. I'll keep trying and let you know what I come up with.

Black Widows (P-61As) were also painted in olive drab over neutral gray.

Since my Do-335 is winding down I'm thinkin' I might be starting my 154. Just need a pit for it. Good thing there is almost a year to do this!
Due to my limited computer skills, can someone point me in the right direction for posting pics? I've got no idea how to do it.

Actually, Derwin, the process is harder to describe than to do believe it or not. First, you will need to sign up with an online image hosting site that allows direct linking. I use Photobucket because it'd free up to so many megs. When you get your account, upload the photos to your album.

Now, to post them here on the forum, all you need to do is "copy' and "paste" the URL of the image (or type it out) between the tags [ img] and [ /img] except that there should be no spaces between the bracket and "img". You can get the URL of the pic by either right clicking on the image or copying it from the third line below the image in the Photobucket album. When you go to post, you'll type out something like this: [ img]http://photobucket.com/albums/v479/bstrump/HPIM0156.jpg[ /img]. Remove the spaces from the "img" tags and an image should appear.

Like I said, it's harder to describe than do. Good luck.Smile [:)]

OK. This is a test, in every sense of the word! If it works, the pic is totally off topic, but its a test.

Hello to all:

I had no idea this GB was in progress, I am building a 1/72 scale Revell He 219 that is a very old kit from the 1970s and this is my entry for the Nightfighters GB.
This kits decal sheet is in such poor condition that it is unusable so I will likely paint and mark this model in ''what if'' colors using decals from my spares box.

Next weekend I will post some pics of this model.

I vote for the badge that has the full moon with the airplanes in front of it.

Derwin, nice job on the B-29. I got two of those as gifts recently and I am planning on building one soon. Was there any problems in building this kit?

I agree that b-29 is great I like the moon lit fighters too that might be the winner we will see when everyone puts there votes in. Either way it's about the build and for me a P61 is on my bench.Wink [;)]

Thanks for the welcome Kevin!

This kit that I am building is very old and am building it just to get it out of my way, I have had it in my kit stash for 25+ years.
I know this model will not be as good as the others in this GB but will likely be the oldest kit built during it.

So long as you have fun building it, it doesn't matter if the model is perfect.

If anyone is interested, and since this is a Nightfighter build, here is a shot of my last nightfighter. Its a Ju-88G-10 with the Morgenstern nose. It was more of a 'what-if' project. As soon as time permits I will be starting the Ta-154.

This is the last pic for now. I don't have anymore.
By chance, is there a list of who is in on this and what they are building?

Hello to all:

Here is a pic of my Revell He 219, as you can see it is quite crude compared to the new modern kits but is still fun to build.
This model will get a camouflage of black undersurfaces and RLM 76 uppersurfaces with a scribble of RLM 81 and RLM 82 on top of that.

Not much will be done on the He 219 for about two weeks until my other two models(1/32 Bf 109K-4 and 1/72 Me 209) are finished and out of the way.
