Ok, you guys.

One of the participants was kind enough to make us a Badge for the GB.
Get it below:

So feel free to add it to your signatures.

It is made by Gunze Sangyo(Japan) I picked it up during one my trips over there.
Works quiet well, pre-heat it and than pop the parts in to be dried.

Added advantage it keeps the dust of the parts. Wink [;)]

If I were you I would work on the hangar and the robot alternatingly. While one dries the other can get some attention.

Good plan also. I'm a fan also of Sub-assemblies/Assembly line style building.

uh, hangar? Oh yeah that thing. You mean those aren't just extra parts? Just kidding. Although I was seriously trying to convince myself that I didn't need it Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

Not a bad plan.

Here is mine(no time-table):

Cut pieces of the sprue and clean them.
Assembly as follows:
Shoulders and upper arms
Backpack
Gun
Feet and thighs
Glue pieces into cockpit and waist
Glue head together
Assemble tires and skiing plates
Putty, sand, wash and set aside.

Start on both figures, cockpit and sensor replacement
While the figs are drying I will paint the kit in the overall colour(hand-paint), set aside.
Finish figures
Do detail painting on the Robot(gold, etc)

Next assemble robot body(with cockpit), limbs, etc followed by putty and sanding.
Paint, install new sensors and set aside for drying.
Work on base and make name plate.

Once dried final assembly and decal application.

This kit will be un-primed and handbrushed, not worried about drying time as I will pop the parts into the drying-booth for 30~40 minutes.

As you see from the word go I start working on sub-assemblies, this way I can work them assembly style, do one, next one, etc.

If I were you I would work on the hangar and the robot alternatingly. While one dries the other can get some attention.

Just the way I work, usually throw the Instructions out the window and follow my own sequence.

Model Museum, your speed building tips would be greatly accepted. I'm more of a scheduling person rather than a technique person but good techniques in a good schedule is what's needed. Here is my initial schedule. Let me know about any bad flaws (flawed plans are BAD). Post tips and we can combine them. Not trying to hyjack your idea, just trying to contribute.

QUOTE:
take pictures throughout
(midnight - 12:30am) - cut from sprues and cleanup
(12:30am - 1:30am) - put together, fill seams, let dry
next day
(7:00am - 7:15am) - primer
(10:00am - 12:00pm) - mask for airbrush (rip and cover method)
lunch break
(1:00pm - 4:00pm) - airbrushing
paint drying break
(5:00pm - whenever) - decals, detail painting, drybrushing,
weathering, final glosscoat or dullcoat ...
hopefully done by midnight

If anyone needs some speed-building tips let me know.

I got a few ideas that have worked well in the past for me.

You can google for images of the original paint scheme an drawings, which will help with the assembly. Yeah, it was bassically 4 colours(Blue, Silver, Red and Grey).

Personally, I would go with an alien camouflage scheme, planning on doing a Mospeada Ride Armor in a reddish pink and light purplish armour scheme.
It is an SF Item so go wild and be creative.

If you need any help figuring out where parts go let me know, I got those instructions pretty much in my head.

Wow a group build that I ALREADY HAVE A KIT for. I'm in. I have a 1/170 Macross Factory Valkyrie. Most of the Macross stuff looks like airplanes but this one has two legs, two arms, head, body, feet, and hands. I've had it for some time and this is great motivation to build it. Thanks for putting on this Mad GB Model Museum.

My kit will be bassically OOTB, except for the compulsory sensor improvements.
Need to take some pics for an Article, current one only shows how to create the new sensors nothing about installation/mods that need to be done.

Colour scheme will change too from the box-art.
Yellow will become gold as it should be, might change the blue to a dark-green too.

Anime is notorious for substituting colours on cels: Gold becomes yellow, metallic/silver becomes light gray(Dougram, etc).

Ok, guys.

Don't be shy and step up to the Plate.
Great time to try and attempt one of this funny things for the guys that never did one.
Most of those kits are military equipment anyway and most can fly too, so no fears there.

It will only take 24hrs and you can be back on your wingy thingies, etc.

Do as much as you can or are willing to do. Glad to have you participate.
I am expecting to see quiet a few Gundam entries for this GB, not many will be as crazy as myself to do a larger scale robot with cockpit and 2 figures.
