Almost forgot, Thats a really good looking Sabre there Chris.

Second clue: This one is also going to be silver, but I'm using regular paint for it instead of Alclad.

It's got wings and some engines and it would seat 14.

Sweet Sabre! Really nice foil work. Just like a painted BMF I find foil as tough or possibly even harder...kudos!

Wow Great work guys...

The Macchi is in a holding pattern waiting her turn for more putty and then the paint booth. There is a traffic jam 5 planes deep waiting for the paint booth. Not to mention I have not made up my mind on the colors yet.

P.S. - the line up consists X2 F-101, the Macchi, SM-79, and the MiG-21.

Tank- did you go with the green/gray splinter since it would be too hard to get the muti-color needle point matched.

? I'm not sure what you mean there.

Thanks all for the kind words. I must say the bar has been raised on models by Trumpeter. There was only a few of problem areas and they were that they don't tell you that you need a ton of weight in the main float to get it to set right. Thanks to Pixelater I knew about that. With all the hinged items such as the alerons, flaps and rudder you will find that they tend to flop where you don't want them as the fit is loose. You might want to consider not installing the moveable version. The engine is a little large for the cowling (front to back) but that can be repaired. The decals are superb. The overall fit of everything is great. The detail is outstanding. If you decide to do this one you have three versions to choose from regarding the squadron. I choose the one that will probable be the least picked as it is a one color paint scheme. Even still it looks good. I see some very good builds taking place in this thread. Keep up the good work all. The next item will probable be an A6M2 that was at Pearl Harbor during the attack as I am also registered in that group build.

Jerry - great start on the Dornier.

Dave - the Pit is looking good.

NOW - the roof is on the Rufe. I finished it this morning and once again I have overall great compliments for Trumpeter models. This was one enjoyable build. I had lots of fun. Thanks to all for having me a part of this group build. Now here are the finals.

Rick Okay, so we're sending these boys up to 10,000, feet loaded with 8,000lbs of high explosives and they have to fly through enemy flak/fighters and you're worried about whether or not they have their seat belts on????? Dunce [D)]Laugh [(-D]

Yes I intend to add belts and some weathering but I Joe wanted to know how we were doing so I posted as is. Cheers.
